The Sopranos stars Tony Sirico and Steven Van Zandt have reached an agreement with HBO to continue until the show ends next year after the network doubled their salaries. The pair, who play Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri and Silvio Dante respectively, will pick up $170,000 for each of the last eight episodes of the Emmy-winning show.
They had hoped for $200,000 per episode which would have made them the highest paid actors on the show after James Gandolfini and Edie Falco, who play Tony and Carmela Soprano.

Two 'Sopranos' Cast Members Secure Pay Raises
Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her on-screen sibling Robert Iler have reportedly secured pay raises to star in the final season of mob drama The Sopranos. The New York Post reports Sigler and Iler - who play gangster Tony Soprano's children Meadow and A.J. respectively - are set to sign a new $100,000 an episode - $15,000 more than last season.
However, their castmates Tony Sirico and Steven Van Zandt are still in negotiations and are reportedly unhappy with the offers they have received so far from US cable network HBO.

Cast members of hit mafia series The Sopranos are demanding higher salaries after the show's bosses secured a string of lucrative rerun rights and staggering DVD sales. Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who plays Meadow, Robert Iler, who plays A.J., Steven Schirripa, who plays Bobby Bacala, Steven Van Zandt, who plays Silvio Dante, Lorraine Bracco, who plays Dr. Melfi, and Tony Sirico, who plays Paulie 'Walnuts', are all demanding a substantial rise before signing up for the final season, set to begin next month.

The Sopranos stars Michael Imperioli and Vincent Curatola have agreed to appear in the closing eight episodes of the hit mafia series. James Gandolfini and Edie Falco were the first of the series' leading actors to close the deal, following HBO's decision to extend the final sixth season to 20 episodes.
