Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman & 5 Other Longtime Famous Couples Who Split Up

October 8th, 2012 6:00pm EDT
Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman
The news that Danny DeVito, 67, and Rhea Perlman, 64, split after a staggering 30 years together shocked fans around the world this morning. The couple, who have three children together, met after Rhea saw the actor in a play in 1971. They got married in 1982.

No reason was given for the split, but according to AARP, extramarital affairs for people 45 and older are relatively rare. So the odds that Danny or Rhea met someone else is likely not the cause of their break up.

Some relationships just fizzle out over time. Sometimes a couple's personal issues intensify. Most typically, a husband...

Review: Going Rogue To Expose Corruption In This 'Safe House'

February 11th, 2012 11:00am EST
Safe House
If it stars Denzel Washington, you know it’s good! Seriously, what film starring this man can anyone say “sucked?” Yes, not all are blockbusters, but if there’s one thing all of his films have is swag, attitude and characters that engrave themselves deep within our cranium.

Safe House is another one on Denzel’s resume with a dark twist, along side Ryan Reynolds. Together, the duo stand on opposite ends of government’s spectrum and unveil harsh events full of lies, truth, guns, global chase and blood. Lots of blood!

For the past year, Matt Weston (Reynolds) has been fidgety with his inacti...

More breakup news has surfaced on the Hollywood couples front. Reps have confirmed that Sam Shepard and Jessica Lange have thrown in the towel after a nearly 30-year courtship.

October 3rd, 2011 9:33pm EDT
Sam Shepard
Actor Sam Shepard received a hostile welcome from locals in Potosi and Uyuni, Bolivia while shooting new western Blackthorn - because they were "rife with superstitions" about white visitors.

The Right Stuff star filmed the movie entirely on location in Bolivia and once he left the capital city of La Paz, he cast and crew were met with much suspicion - because locals were not accustomed to "seeing white people."

He tells New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, "Seventy per cent of the population is Indian and rife with superstitions. In the mountains an Indian lady appeared suddenly from now...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Real Steel,' 'The Ides Of March,' & More

October 3rd, 2011 11:00am EDT
Real Steel
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read my Seth Rogen interview from last week for “50/50,” you should definitely check it out.

The film itself is one of the best this year; definitely worth watching. It impressively handles a dark subject like cancer by making light of it with humor. To label “50/50” as a straight comedy though is disrespectful to what a poignant story it is, because it also remains sensitive to immense difficulty of coping with such a serious disease.

In this way, Seth Rogen’s sarcastic jokes are well balanced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s uptight, neurotic character...

"Inhale" directed by award winning filmmaker, Baltasar Kormakur stars Dermot Mulroney, who risks everything to get his daughter, Chloe (Mia Stallard) a much needed lung transplant. The wonderful, Diane Kruger plays Chloe's mother. Rounding out the cast is is Sam Shepherd, Rosanna Arquette, Vincent Perez and Jordi Molla. 'Inhale' takes us through the dark, ugly and at times, deadly world of organ trafficking. How far would you go to obtain an organ for your dying child? That's the question you're left with as you leave the theater.

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Paranormal Activity 2,' 'Hereafter,' & More

October 18th, 2010 9:53am EDT
Hereafter
I saw last week’s action film “Red” starring Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, and Brian Cox. While it’s not the most exciting in terms of special effects, the cast of the movie alone more than makes up for it. They all have an incredible rapport that makes them actually seem like old friends. Check out my review here if you haven’t already.

Hitting the box office this week are the highly anticipated sequel “Paranormal Activity 2,” the supernatural Clint Eastwood drama “Hereafter,” and the life or death thriller “Inhale.”

PARANORMAL ACTIV...

'Butch Cassidy' To Ride Again

March 25th, 2010 9:28am EDT
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Paul Newman's legendary gunslinger is set to be revived in a sequel to 1969 classic Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid.

The late actor played the real life outlaw opposite Robert Redford in the Oscar-winning movie, which appeared to show both of their characters die in the final shoot-out.

However, movie bosses are reviving Newman's Cassidy character for a sequel, which will show the gun-toting cowboy as an old man, played by Sam Shepard. The follow-up, titled Blackthorn will pick up the story several years after the end of the first film and will follow Cassidy's attempts to pull off o...

Michael Madsen
Michael Madsen has attacked his one-time co-star Brad Pitt for not standing up for him and helping him land a leading role in his new movie. Tough guy Madsen was offered the chance to play Pitt's movie brother in new western The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, but he refused to audition for the role.

Madsen felt sure that Pitt, who teamed up with him in Thelma & Louise, would vouch for his acting skills and attitude - but the Frank James role was offered to Sam Shepard.

Upset Madsen says, "You would think Brad would speak up for me. He obviously didn't do...

Movie veteran Eva Marie Saint has fallen for her Don't Come Knocking co-star Sam Shepard after playing his mother in the film. The 71-year-old actress admits she was smitten by the shy star, who has been dating Jessica Lange since 1982. And she even told Lange, who also appears in the film, about her feelings.

Saint says, "Who doesn't think Sam's sexy? Not only women, but men too - like my husband. I think it's partly because there's this shyness about him. I also really like that crooked smile he has. I told him, 'Don't go to the dentist and have them fix that crooked tooth.' He sa...
