For the first time in 14 years, Jerry Seinfeld is returning to his stand-up comedy roots in New York City. He last hit the New York stage in 1998.

The comedian has announced he will perform a full routine in each of the city's five boroughs from Oct. 4 until Nov. 8.

He announced, "I was born in Brooklyn, went to school in Queens and started out as a comedian in Manhattan. I feel like New York City taught me how to be funny. I'm so excited to perform a special series of shows for my beloved home town."

Len Lesser, best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld's beloved Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, has died. He was 88.

"Seinfeld" star Michael Richards has been targeted in a new lawsuit over allegations he randomly attacked a photographer in a street.

In papers filed on Friday, photographer Brendon O'Neal claims the actor lashed out at him in Los Angeles last month, punching him in the face and knocking him to the ground before he "proceeded to kick (O'Neal) numerous times, directing the blows to (O'Neal's) arms, hands, and camera."

The photographer is seeking unspecified damages for "great mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering" and medical expenses, according to TMZ.com
