'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Recap: Mac Day

October 3rd, 2013 3:14pm EDT
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Yesterday was no ordinary day in Philadelphia — it was Mac Day. Mac Day, as we discovered, was just one of the five days that the gang created for each member to make everyone else do whatever the days' honoree wants. At first blush, it seems like a strangely generous setup for such a selfish group of people. But as Mac Day rolls along, it becomes apparent that each member of the gang is simply going through the motions until it's their day, all while filing away the events of their friends' days to use as fuel for future mockery.

Being the religious one of the group, Mac patterns the s...

Hilarious Looking 'Movie 43' Trailer Features Tons Of Stars, Gerard Butler As A Leprechaun

October 3rd, 2012 6:09pm EDT
Movie 43
If you ask us, if Movie 43 is just half as funny as the trailer, it's destined to be a classic. We have no idea what it's about, other than it's actually 25 short films helmed by several different directors including Peter Farrelly, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk, Brett Ratner and Griffin Dunne, and it features a huge, HUGE cast of A-list stars.

The film's greenband trailer (e.g.: approved-for-all-audiences) premiered during Tuesday night's episode of Tosh.0 on Comedy Central; and on Wednesday the very not-safe-for-work (NSFW) red-band trailer debuted on the network's website (according to...

Immaturity Stops Being Funny In 'American Reunion'

April 7th, 2012 11:30am EDT
American Reunion
No one likes getting old. What sucks almost as much as aging though, is doing things which make you feel old, like watching “American Reunion.” Despite its emphasis on sentimental nostalgia, the fourth film in the “American Pie” franchise simply reminds us that we can't live in the past forever.

The premise for reuniting the characters from East Great Falls is surprisingly sound. Their high school missed the group’s 10 year reunion, so they’ve decided to reconvene 13 years later instead. It’s an odd number and an unlucky one, but whatever. This should be a prime opportunity to catch...

'American Reunion' Review: Eugene Levy After Credit Bit Is Best Part Of Film

April 5th, 2012 3:00pm EDT
American Reunion
The film 'American Pie' was and is a classic. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, 'American Pie' is about four guys, from East Great Falls Michigan, that are on a quest to lose their virginity before they graduate high school.

I can still remember sitting in the theatre .

The film takes place ten years after the gang graduated from high school. They've come back to their home town for their 10 year high school reunion and we soon discover that none of their lives have turned out the way they expected. Never saw that in a film before.

As An Action Comedy 'Cop Out' Is The Best Of Both Worlds

February 26th, 2010 9:00am EST
Cop Out
An entertaining action film is not entirely hard to make since it does not often take a great deal of brain power to shoot gunfights and explosions. Neither is a fun comedy, because all you need is some lewd jokes to get most audiences laughing. What's much rarer however is a film that effectively blends the two genres to create an engrossing action comedy.

Kevin Smith's "Cop Out" is the best of both worlds; as a buddy cop movie, it has both action and hilarious jokes.

The plot is fairly straightforward in this film. Jimmy Monroe (Bruce Willis) is an average cop who has promised to pay f...

Kevin Smith was conveniently kicked off of a flight over the weekend, allowing everyone in America to read his name in a paper or on a blog just in time for his new film, "Cop Out," in theaters February 26.

Smith has flown Southwest before and never had a problem. He is currently challenging the airline to prove that he was really a safety risk, which will cost them a $10,000 donation to charity, should they fail. I would get...

If it's a hit, even four years after the show went off the air, the wheels will...
