Rick Schroder has ditched his adult name for the one that made him famous as a child star. For his upcoming stint on hit drama 24, the actor will be credited as Ricky Shroder - the name he grew out of in his late teens.

As the season six premiere rapidly approaches, Rick Schroder joins the award-winning cast of 24. The clock for “Day Six” starts ticking with a highly anticipated two-night, four-hour television event Sunday, Jan. 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Monday, Jan. 15 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The show’s regular time period premiere is Monday, Jan. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
