Brad Pitt
The biggest and most memorable event of 1963 was the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, its 50th anniversary will be marked on November 22. The civil rights movement was in full swing as Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his "I have a dream" speech and the Vietnam conflict had begun. Gas was 29 cents a gallon and the average cost for a new home was $12,560.

Also that year, the Beatles released their first album 'Please Please Me.' Notable films released in 1963 were The Great Escape, From Russia with Love, The Birds, Cleopatra and The Pink Panther. Popular TV shows included, The A...

The Firm
Every Jan. 1, I heave a sigh of relief because I not only made it through another year and survived the frenzied stress of the holiday season but also because mid-season television shows will be unveiled. Like Christmas presents from an adoring aunt, mid-season shows can be just what you need or exactly what you don't.

Check out five new shows you may or may not want to check out:

The Firm (NBC)

NBC took John Grisham’s best-selling novel and big screen hit, “The Firm,” and continued the story in the spin-off of the same name. It follows Mitch McDeere, the Memphis lawyer who brought ...

This weekend, Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds will add their names to the long and distinguished list of actors who have tackled the “body swap” movie. After a night of drinking, the two wake up in each other’s bodies, something neither of them really wanted.

Body swap movies have been around for a long time and are usually quite entertaining, if formulaic and predictable. Here’s our list of the Top Ten Body Swap Movi...

This year, Mardi Gras ends on “Fat Tuesday”, March 8th and many people in New Orleans will be celebrating by drinking mass amounts of Hurricanes, throwing beads off of balconies in the French Quarter, watching the parade down Bourbon Street and of course, flashing their ta-tas. Here are a few celebrities we would love to party with in the Big Easy.

Former Playboy Platemate, Kendra Wilkinson showed us on The Girls Next Door that she is always down to have a good time. Even after she married Hank Baskett and had baby Hank, she still enjoys a good night out complete with dancing on a stripp...

Schneider will co-write, produce and star in the new project, which is based on his own life. The pilot centers on a lonely bachelor who marries into a large, tight-knit Mexican-American family. 'Grown Ups' - Which Actor Has The Best Post-SNL Career?

June 25th, 2010 12:33pm EDT
Grown Ups
This weekend the comedy film Grown Ups premieres starring four of the most currently well known Saturday Night Live alumni: Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. Kevin James, a beloved comedian from TV land, also stars with them. The film is about five men who were best friends as children and reunite after 30 years to catch up and learn about how they've all become adults. None of these actors are particularly known for being grown ups themselves, so it will be interesting to see how the movie goes. Here's a look at the main actors, specifically the SNL survivors, and w...

Review: Adam Sandler's 'Grown Ups' Is Juvenile

June 24th, 2010 1:49pm EDT
Grown Ups
One of my greatest fears has been confirmed by seeing Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups.” My favorite cast of “Saturday Night Live” from the 90s is starting to lapse into Eddie Murphy syndrome: they have no problem with making crappy family comedies just to cash paychecks.

Watching this poor excuse for something funny made me embarrassed for them. I expected a few lowbrow laughs from these folks who capitalized it after their stint on “SNL.” I hoped perhaps though that these seasoned comedians had something better up their sleeves.

“Grown Ups” stars Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Kev...

In the film, five former basketball teammates gather 30 years after graduating from high school at the lake house where they celebrated their biggest victory to mourn the passing of their late coach.

Over the course of the Fourth of July weekend, the five friends realize that just because they've all grown up and started families doesn't mean that they've lost that old spark.

Salma Hayek's Busty Black Vest - Hot Or Not?

June 23rd, 2010 11:52am EDT
Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek nearly busted out of her black leather vest after leaving her hotel to head to the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show in New York City yesterday.

The Mexican actress recently talked about her favorite snacks, which are a little creepy.

She explained, "We eat bugs, Mexicans. Look, I'm salivating. They're delicious. These little ants fried are amazing - with a little guacamole. And the worms... there are many different recipes for those. The little grasshoppers have a smoky flavor to them. It's the way they cook them, and it's really good."

Salma also stopped by the "Late Show...

The much anticipated new movie 17 Again, starring Zac Efron, hit theaters last Friday and achieved the number one spot at the box office over the weekend. But how "new" is the movie? Things aren't exactly easy for him, especially since the trends have changed, he has to make all new friends, and he is in high school with his children. An Insider's Look At 'SNL' Behind The Scenes

SNL
I am a Saturday Night Live junkie - so much so that at times I have trouble hiding how big of a fan when that little thing called professionalism may be at stake. It was so apparent in the interview I conducted with current featured player Bobby Moynihan - a self-described "SNL" nerd himself - that he casually mentioned the prospect of me attending a show.

Now I could tell Bobby was a really nice guy, but I thought he was just trying to be polite. I was pleasantly surprised (read: screamed like a 12 year old girl!) when a week later he followed up on that invitation and asked if I wan...

Worst Dates In Movies

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo
First dates are always awkward. Between not knowing what to say, fumbling with the check when it arrives at the table, or wondering whether there will be a kiss at the end of the night, these situations are ones people can't wait to overcome. Sometimes first dates can be disastrous from the start, and you hope to God you never see the other person again, that is if you don't die of utter embarrassment right there on the spot.

Hollywood loves to over emphasize situations and showcase things that probably would never happen in real life; at least you hope they'll never happen to you! He...

Adam Sandler is White Ladies Man in Judd Apatow's 'You Don’t Mess With the Zohan'

The story is divisively intermingled with racial and ethnic sensitivities between the Israelis and Palestinians.

At first, it even feels like a scribe sat down for a few weeks, slammed back a few brewskies and toked daily on the good ganja while attempting to ink a forcefully novel plot.

In You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Emmanuelle Chriqui stars as Dalia: a Palestinian immigrant to New York an...

Movies That Will Probably Suck In 2008

Movies are awesome. Sometimes, however, a movie isn't awesome. Sometimes it should never have been made, and you shouldn't go see it (because it's a waste of money or you just want to protest). These movies have a high suckitude value, and this should serve as a warning to you all. If you still go and see them, that's your problem. The "Suck Scale" runs from 1-5, with 5 being amazingly bad.

Meet the Spartans

The spoof genre was funny once. Scary Movie was new, fresh and gave a new spin on satire. It proved to movie makers that if they insisted on producing garbage, that garbage would...
