The Doctors Are In: On The Set Of TNT's 'Monday Mornings'
It's lights, camera and life-saving. BFTV recently visited the set of TNT's upcoming medical drama Monday Mornings, to walk the halls of the fictional Chelsea General Hospital and get introduced to the show's cast and creative team.
The man running the show on a daily basis is executive producer and director Bill D'Elia, who's no stranger to the task. "I've worked on a lot of medical shows and in fact was executive producer on Chicago Hope," he said. "David [E. Kelley] and I have been working together for a very long time and we've done quite a few shows together. This one is a little diff...

TNT's 'Monday Mornings' Preview: The Next Great Medical Drama
Next week, TNT unveils Monday Mornings, hoping that it will be another winner on the network's roster of original series. They don't need to worry: medical dramas haven't been this good since ER and Chicago Hope.
The latter comparison is particularly apt, as Monday Mornings is executive produced by David E. Kelley, who also created Chicago Hope, and Bill D'Elia, who worked closely with Kelley on that series, serves as this one's showrunner. Working from the novel of the same name by CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the result is something that mixes Kelley's knack for creating compelling drama with...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' 'Piranha 3DD,' & 'Battlefield America'
Last week’s “Men in Black III” was fairly average. It’s nothing fantastic, but certainly more memorable than 2002’s “Men in Black II.” Following some bizarre real life shenanigans, the wacked out Rip Torn is written out of the story and thankfully the talking pug is nowhere to be found. With stupid dialogue and gimmicky 3D, the most entertaining moments come from the film’s cast. I know what you’re thinking, and no, I’m not talking about Will Smith.

We Can Think Of Two Good Reasons To Watch 'Piranha 3DD' Trailer (Video)
Finally, a sequel we can really sink our teeth into! After the bloody good camp fun of Alexandre Aja's "Piranha 3D" last year, someone decided two "D"s are better than one, and boy were they right. The Weinstein Company is pulling out all the stops to provide bigger fish, bigger laughs, bigger "stars," and a larger amount of acting talent from the female participants. It's all good clean fun for "Piranha 3DD," and we have the trailer to prove it.
At last night's Scream Awards on Spike, a 30-second teaser aired, fully stacked with a bevy of women ready to get wet, wild and wounded with th...

David Hasselhoff Joins Cast Of 'Piranha 3DD'
David Hasselhoff is heading back to the water as the latest castmate for the Piranha 3D sequel.
The former Baywatch star will join Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Gary Busey and Danielle Panabaker in Piranha 3DD, but instead of the Malibu coastline in California, where he led the most famous TV lifeguards, he'll be hitting the deep end of a water park.
Piranha 3DD will splash into cinemas later this year.

15 Badass Baldies In Movies
You talk a big game about your love of long-haired stars -- your Johnny Depps, your Viggo Mortensens, your Hugh Jackmans -- but there's something about a bare head that adds to the menace and allure of our favorite action stars.
We were struck by the sheer amount of baldness in the poster for "Fast Five" and it encouraged us to dig deeper. Below, check out 14 guys -- and one girl -- whose naked scalps have scared and intimidated us for years.

The Television Balcony: The 'Echelon Conspiracy'
Sometimes, I look at a movie and wonder, "How can there be so many great actors in it, and yet it's not a bigger deal?" The Echelon Conspiracy is an example of why that happens. Yes, it's got Shane West, Ed Burns, Ving Rhames and Martin Sheen in it, but this is a film I didn't entirely get until Shane explained a crucial part of it to me.
We've seen conspiracy thrillers before. We've seen movies about technology going awry before. We've even seen Martin Sheen being kind of a bastard before (hello, Spawn). The Echelon Conspiracy is what happens if you add those three things together, then...

Ving Rhames Sues Over Payment Failure
Ving Rhames is suing the producers of his latest movie, alleging they failed to pay him for his work on the project.
Red Canvas writer/director Kenneth Chamitoff promised Rhames $200,000 for six days of work on the action film, according to a lawsuit filed by the actor in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday.
The Pulp Fiction star claims he only received $175,000 of the sum after a "stop payment" was put on his final $25,000 paycheck.
He's now suing Chamitoff and Red Canvas Productions for fraud and breach of contract, reports TMZ.com.

The Best & Worst Films By Quentin Tarantino
The serendipitous career of eccentric movie producer, director and writer Quentin Tarantino is a complex one. Tarantino has made a name for himself by creating nonlinear storylines and filming multiple perspectives from different characters in his movies - a technique that strays from the more commonly used straight-time storyline.
His films are not off the wall, but they invoke an element of surprise that comes from the small details within a scene that catches one off guard and by adding mysterious elements that never get explained. A good example of this was in Pulp Fiction when M...

Revamping The 'X-Men' Movies: Possibilities For The Future
For better or worse we have a completed X-Men movie trilogy. You didn't think that was the end though, right? Wolverine fans can expect the character to debut in a self-titled movie due for release in 2009, with a Magneto prequel set to follow. It's only a matter of time before the X-Mansion is revisited and we get another outing with our favorite mutant team.
If they do make an "X-Men 4" perhaps it'll be time to change a few things within the franchise -- a new creative team perhaps, some new cast members, maybe *gasp* not have Wolverine as the lead character. Let's take a look at so...

Adam McKay Talks Will Ferrell, Funnyordie.com, And Upcoming Projects
There's quite a few websites out there that provide original comedy videos, but what separates Funnyordie.com is that its got Will Ferrell and Adam McKay at its helm. " We liked the idea of just doing comedy for comedy's sake and having a place for our friends to do it too. We went into it with a clubhouse mentality and that was basically it," says McKay, a former SNL head-writer who's co-written and directed Ferrell in the films Anchorman and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, adding "We also talked about the fact that it would be a great opportunity to see new directors, actors,...

Ice Cube Is Desperate To Play 'A-Team' Character
Ice Cube is begging studio bosses to cast him in the rumored A-Team movie as Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus. The rapper-turned-actor is one of a number of stars linked to the role, and he may have to compete with the likes of Ving Rhames, Michael Clark Duncan and the original B.A., Laurence 'Mr. T' Tureaud, to win the coveted part.
But Cube is convinced he's the best man for the job - and even auditioned on TV show Live With Regis & Kelly.

Ving Rhames Plans To Relocate Dogs To Canada
Ving Rhames is planning to relocate his dogs, who were recently reported to have mauled his caretaker to death, to a friend's estate in Canada - because keeping the animals in his care would leave him vulnerable to lawsuits.
The star's caretaker and friend Jacob Adams, 40, died in front of Rhames' Brentwood, California home earlier this month.
While it was first reported Rhames' dogs had mauled Adams to death, officials are now looking into the possibility Adams suffered either a heart attack or an aneurysm.

Coroner's Probe: Dog Bites Likely Didn't Kill Man At Ving Rhames' Home
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man who died at the home of action star Ving Rhames most likely did not die from bites from Rhames' dogs, county coroner's officials said Friday.
Jacob Adams, 40, was living on Rhames' Brentwood property as a caretaker for the actor's dogs when he was bitten Aug. 3, police said.
The medical examiner who conducted Adams' autopsy Aug. 7 said the bite abrasions and lacerations on the man's body were most likely nonfatal, said Capt. Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
