Paul Reiser Blames Lack Of Promotion For Sitcom Failure

April 27th, 2011 8:06am EDT
Paul Reiser
Comedian Paul Reiser has blamed TV bosses for failing to promote his recently axed sitcom and airing it in the same time slot as American Idol.

Executives at NBC cancelled Reiser's self-titled show after just two episodes last week due to low ratings. The former Mad About You star insists the new series needed more advertising and admits he doubted whether it could ever succeed going up against hit TV talent show American Idol.

He tells talk show host Jay Leno, "I get a call: 'Come back on TV, make a show for yourself, people out there miss you.' So I came up with the show, they said, '...

Interview With Paul Reiser, Star Of 'The Paul Reiser Show'

April 11th, 2011 10:20am EDT
Paul Reiser Show
Paul Reiser hasn’t been on television in a while. That’s the case in real life, and it’s also the case on Reiser’s new NBC sitcom, “The Paul Reiser Show,” which the actor co-wrote and produced. Like a diet version of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Paul Reiser Show” follows a fictionalized version of Reiser’s life 11 years after the end of his star making role in “Mad About You.” Struggling with his fading celebrity and with a wealth of free time, Reiser spends his days wrestling with his kids’ school projects, hanging out with a disparate group of chuckleheads that he calls his friends, and t...

Paul Reiser Comedy Replaces 'Perfect Couples'

March 28th, 2011 7:30pm EDT
Paul Reiser
Paul Reiser's NBC comedy project has finally found a home, and a date. His show will premiere April 14, displacing the network's 'Perfect Couples' to bubble show purgatory. With two episodes left to air, its odds for renewal are not good.

Reiser's show, cleverly titled 'The Paul Reiser Show,' will feature him as a guy named Paul Reiser, who lives with his wife and kids and hangs out with other dads. It's a single camera comedy, and the first major TV project for Reiser since 'Mad About You' ended in 1999.

The announcement comes on the heels of NBC's announcement last week that it renew...

The Fridge in G.I. Joe
We have to say, the process of compiling a list of the best athlete cameos has been done to death. We wanted to delve a bit deeper though, really flesh out some more obscure and odd cameos' from our favorite stars in the world of sports.
