'MasterChef's' Kerry: 'I've Settled Into The Edge'
Last week, Kerry Prince saw his MasterChef dreams come to an end. But the 31-year-old human resources representative from North Carolina was in good spirits as he spoke to Starpulse about his time in the FOX reality show's kitchen.

"The edge has to stay there. I love competition and part of that is the excitement of anticipation," he explained when we asked him if he ever settled into the competition. "So I guess you can say I've settled into the edge."

"The challenges so far have been strenuous at best! The clock is unforgiving!" he continued. "I would say the crab challenge has been the...

Meghan Gill On Winning 'Hell's Kitchen': 'This Is An Experience'
Last week, Meghan Gill added her name to the list of Hell's Kitchen winners. The 28-year-old executive chef from Virginia survived Gordon Ramsay's culinary boot camp to nab herself a coveted position at Caesars Atlantic City, and sat down with Starpulse afterward to discuss her experience on the way to the top.

This victory was the latest accomplishment in a career she's spent more than a decade devoted to. "I have been engulfed in this business since I was 19 years old. I’m 30 now," she explained. "Within the past ten-plus years, I have gone through many difficult obstacles, personally an...

TV Preview: 'Hell's Kitchen' Season 14
With MasterChef Junior over, FOX turns to the fourteenth season of Hell's Kitchen to provide the network with its regular dose of Gordon Ramsay. But is the latest edition of the cooking competition worth the watch, especially as it's now pitted against NBC's The Voice?

To give you an idea of this show's longevity, Hell's Kitchen now has exactly the same number of seasons as American Idol. You know generally what to expect when you tune in, especially to tonight's premiere episode.

Every season always starts with the signature dish challenge, in which cooks whip up their best work for Rams...

6 Things We Wish Had Happened On TV

8/18/2014 12:03pm EDT
6 Things We Wish Had Happened On TV
As the Rolling Stones once sang, you can't always get what you want. And so it is for TV as well. For a variety of reasons - network decisions, production demands, behind the scenes developments - sometimes what happens or doesn't happen isn't what we would've wanted. Even though that might have been a good thing, even if we completely understand why, we can't help but wonder 'what if.'

This TV season has had quite a few of those moments, whether it's plot twists that broke our hearts, cancellations we wish we could reverse, or just things we would have enjoyed seeing even if they had no r...

In tonight's second season premiere, Ramsay travels to Las Cruces, New Mexico to help out Meson de Mesilla, a hotel ...

MasterChef Finalist Josh Marks Claims Gordon Ramsey Turned Him Into God After Violent Arrest

7/31/2013 6:07pm EDT
One of the big contenders in last year's MasterChef competition had a violent run-in with cops - and blamed it on Gordon Ramsay.

Josh Marks, remembered as the 7'2" contestant with surprising cooking skills, was spotted as the University of Chicago attempting to use a campus emergency phone, according to TMZ. When a cop working for the university approach him and spotted cuts on his face, he asked Marks what was wrong. That's when Marks attacked, officials say.

Law enforcement sources say Marks threw a punch at the cop and lunged for his holstered gun. Two other officers joined the fray, p...

4/9/2013 10:15am EDT
Susan Heaton
Tonight, Hell's Kitchen celebrates its 150th episode. The milestone falls in the middle of the FOX competition's scorching eleventh season, so BFTV snagged a few minutes with current cheftestant Susan Heaton to find out what motivated her to enter Hell's Kitchen and what it's really like to work for Chef Gordon Ramsay.

"Auditioning for Hell's Kitchen was the best decision I ever made," said Susan. "I was working full-time as a human resources manager and part-time culinary student, just pursuing a passion - really wanting to do something that I loved and hoping that one day it might turn i...

Chef Gordon Ramsay Dishes On Season 11 Of 'Hell's Kitchen'

3/19/2013 6:30am EDT
Gordon Ramsay
Chef Gordon Ramsay is an imposing figure on FOX's Hell's Kitchen, putting chefs to the test - and putting the incompetent and arrogant in their place. But to see him on Hell's Kitchen is to know only one side of Chef Ramsay, who has four TV shows on FOX alone, more Michelin stars than most chefs can even dream of, and a much warmer personality than commercials would have you believe. BFTV recently checked in with Chef Ramsay to get the inside dish on Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen.

"I’m in love with it now," he said of starting up the competition for an eleventh cycle. "I’m in love with the r...

8/13/2012 10:30am EDT
Hotel Hell
Say what you will about Chef Gordon Ramsay's temperament, but he devotes a lot of time and energy to helping struggling businesses in need. After several seasons trying to rescue failing restaurants with Kitchen Nightmares, first in the United Kingdom and then here in the United States, he's broadened the scope of his efforts with Hotel Hell. Ramsay and his team are now not just salvaging restaurants, but stepping in to help entire properties that are on the verge of failure.

Chef Ramsay recently gave me some time out of his busy schedule to discuss the transition from saving resta...

With Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef, you're seeing plenty of Chef Gordon Ramsay. If you still don't know who he is, here's a primer to get you informed about the chef with four (!) TV shows.

Who is Chef Gordon Ramsay?

Chef Gordon Ramsay is one of the most talked-about chefs currently working in the world today, and certainly one of the most recognizable. He was the first Scottish chef to win three of the prestigious Michelin stars in 2001 with Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, an establishment that still retains those honors as of 2011. He currently holds 12 Michelin stars.

Gordon Ramsay
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has taken aim at Britain's jail system, insisting prisoners are given an "easy" life behind bars.

The cook's latest U.K. TV show, Gordon Ramsay Behind Bars, shows the chef setting up a kitchen in London's Brixton prison to teach inmates domestic skills - and the star admits he was stunned at the "comfort" the criminals live in.

He tells Britain's Guardian Weekend magazine, "What I wasn't prepared for was how easy it was for them in there. I was astounded at the comfort zone they carve out for themselves. Five meal choices a night - that was the one I really ...

Gordon Ramsay
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's alleged mistress has revealed there may be a sex tape featuring the British TV personality in existence - and it could be in police hands.

Ramsay has always denied author Sarah Symonds' romance claims, but now she insists she's close to getting her hands on evidence that will prove she has been telling the truth.

In a recent interview with magazine the Star, obtained by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, Symonds reveals police officials in London have contacted her to warn her that they found "sensitive information" on her and Ramsay during their investigations...

Gordon Ramsay Launches Defamation Lawsuit

3/23/2012 8:29am EDT
Gordon Ramsay
Gordon Ramsay has filed a $2.4 million lawsuit against a former associate who alleges the celebrity chef was "too busy" to promote their restaurant.

The Hell's Kitchen star is suing Danny Lavy for defamation and potential revenue losses following a disagreement about their joint eatery Laurier Gordon Ramsay in Montreal, Canada.

Lavy cancelled the contract last month and dropped Ramsay's name from the project, accusing the fiery chef of being "too busy to come to the restaurant" and failing to promote their business on TV chat shows.

Ramsay has branded the comments "false and defamator...

Gordon Ramsay Settles Legal Battle With In-Laws

2/2/2012 10:09am EST
Gordon Ramsay
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has ended his long-running legal dispute with his in-laws by reaching an out-of-court settlement on Wednesday.

The British cook fell out with his wife's family in 2010 when he fired his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson as chief executive of his restaurant business. Hutcheson subsequently filed a lawsuit against Ramsay, while the TV star hit back by filing his own legal papers against several of his wife Tana's relatives.

Ramsay accused Hutcheson of hacking into his personal and company files, withdrawing millions of dollars from the firm and using the money to ...

Q&A: Gordon Ramsay Saves More 'Kitchen Nightmares'

9/23/2011 12:00pm EDT
Kitchen Nightmares
I'm in awe of Chef Gordon Ramsay's accomplishments, because I have no idea how he does all of them. The Michelin-starred chef visited in June to talk Masterchef and in July for Hell's Kitchen, chatted with me at FOX's TCA presentation in August, and just yesterday the network announced his next series, Hotel Hell. Just seven months after we talked about the last season of Kitchen Nightmares, he's back again to chat about the new one (starting tonight at 8 PM ET/PT on FOX). The man clearly deserves a vacation.

Ramsay's a polarizing figure: it seems you either love him or hate him. As so...

Costa Rican Shark Poachers Tried To Set Gordon Ramsey On Fire

9/21/2011 9:20pm EDT
Gordon Ramsay
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay almost became a human kebab while shooting a documentary on Costa Rica's illegal shark fin industry when a fishmonger's henchman attempted to set him alight.

The brash Brit took a camera crew to the beaches of Costa Rica to capture the shady fishing enterprise - and he was almost killed in the process.

Ramsay tells Playboy magazine, "That was a little bit hairy... The fishmongers have these armed guards patrolling fortress-like towers, so we tried to get in and ran into a guard.

"They poured petrol all over my hair and neck and tried to set us on fire."

The ...

Brittany's TCA 2011 Blog: 'New Girl,' 'X Factor,' The Future Of 'Breaking In'

8/8/2011 8:00am EDT
TCA 2011
It's been seven months since the last Television Critics Association presentation - so now it's time for new buzz. I returned to the front row to catch up with the happenings at FOX and sister network FX. In this first part of my TCA blog, we meet New Girl and The X Factor, the FOX executive session sheds some light on House, Fringe and the Glee spinoff rumors, and I try not to faint.

There's always a surprise or two at these events, and mine happened right off the bat. FOX hosted a breakfast themed around its trio of Gordon Ramsay cooking shows (Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and Ma...

Gordon Ramsay Suing His In-Laws

8/7/2011 12:30pm EDT
Gordon Ramsay
British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is taking a family feud to court by suing a number of his wife's relatives.

The TV cook's rift with his in-laws hit the headlines last year when his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson left his post as CEO of Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) and subsequently filed a lawsuit against Ramsay.

The chef later spoke out to insist he felt "betrayed" and "let down" by his in-laws, and he has now stepped up the feud by filing suit against Hutcheson and a number of his family members.

Ramsay filed a writ at London's High Court on Friday taking aim at his wife Tana's f...

Q&A: Gordon Ramsay Dishes On Season 9 Of 'Hell's Kitchen'

Gordon Ramsay Dishes On Season 9 of 'Hell's Kitchen'
Our favorite chef is back (again)! While we're still watching season two of MasterChef, Chef Gordon Ramsay returns for the ninth (?!) season of his first FOX series, the aptly titled Hell's Kitchen. As the show's two-night premiere kicks off tonight (at 8 PM ET/PT, followed by a new MasterChef), Chef Ramsay sat down with me to dish about what we can expect from this season.

You can also revisit our previous chats about Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef.

This is the ninth season for Hell's Kitchen. What do you think is the secret to the show's longevity?

Gordon Ramsay: You know what, no...

Summer Preview: 'MasterChef'

6/6/2011 5:18pm EDT
In a crowded field of TV competitive-cooking series, MasterChef is not my main course of choice, but it's certainly appetizing.

FOX knows that it's found a personality to build programming around in the legendary Gordon Ramsay, and they've given him three series on the network: Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and Masterchef. One can't help but compare the trio. While MasterChef is far less dramatic than Hell's Kitchen, it doesn't have quite as much heart as Kitchen Nightmares; it's like the love child of the two, with middling results.

If you missed the first season, MasterChef foc...

Q&A: Gordon Ramsay Serves Up New 'MasterChef'

6/6/2011 2:30pm EDT
Not so long ago, Michelin-starred Chef Gordon Ramsay joined us to talk about saving America's restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares. Now he's back, looking for the nation's best amateur cook on MasterChef (starting tonight at 8 PM ET/PT on FOX).

What's the biggest difference between this season of MasterChef and the previous one?

Gordon Ramsay: I think what’s happened over the last eighteen months or two years, everybody is watching the pennies, everyone is very careful. Therefore, we’ll be cooking more at home, and on the back of cooking at home more often, maybe three, four, or even ...

Gordon Ramsay Reprimanded For Eating A Snake Heart

5/16/2011 9:52am EDT
Gordon Ramsay
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has come under fire from animal rights campaigners after eating a snake heart in his latest TV show.

The TV personality was filmed downing the heart of a cobra in a snake restaurant in Vietnam as part of his series Gordon's Great Escape, which airs in the U.K. on Monday. Ramsay is warned he will feel the organ beating in his stomach for several minutes afterwards as he admits, "The thought of eating that turns my stomach."

The episode has not gone down well with animal rights activists at U.K. charity Animal Aid, who have branded Ramsay's stunt "cruel, atten...

Interview: Gordon Ramsay On Tackling 'Kitchen Nightmares'

3/2/2011 11:00am EST
Kitchen Nightmares
He is one of the world's best and most well-known chefs. Also, between Kitchen Nightmares (currently in the midst of its third season), MasterChef, and Hell's Kitchen (just renewed for its ninth and tenth seasons), he owns a large portion of the FOX network.

I'm speaking, of course, of Gordon Ramsay, who has not only an illustrious culinary career but has now become the predominant force when it comes to food-related programming in the US and UK. Aside from his FOX offerings, BBC America has run a number of his British series, including the UK edition of Nightmares, Ramsay's Best Rest...

Gordon Ramsay Says Gasoline, Not Hair Transplant, Caused Swollen Face

1/20/2011 12:28pm EST
Gordon Ramsay
Gordon Ramsay has explained away rumors he recently underwent a hair transplant, putting his swollen face and scalp down to an infection and an allergic reaction.

The British chef was recently photographed wearing a medical-looking cap on his head and pictures of him with a puffy face, a common side effect of a hair transplant, fueled rumors he had undergone the procedure.

Ramsay has now opened up about the shocking images, revealing a recent encounter with robbers in Costa Rica, who poured gas all over him, led to a nasty scalp infection.

He told reporters at a press conference, "I had ...

Gordon Ramsay Facing Another Lawsuit

10/27/2010 8:27am EDT
Gordon Ramsay
TV chef Gordon Ramsay is facing legal action after pulling out of charity appearances to raise money for a young girl battling life-threatening health problems.

The Hell's Kitchen star failed to show up at a dinner in June for nine-year-old New Zealander Matisse Reid, who is waiting for stomach, pancreas and small and large bowel transplants and struggles to eat. He was forced to cancel after his mom, Helen Cosgrove, suffered a minor heart attack.

Ramsay has also pulled out of a second fundraising event in Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday and another in Wellington on Thursday. Organi...

Cerniglia, a married father of three, opened up about his personal troubles and debt-ridden Fair Lawn, New Jersey restaurant, Campania, when he appeared on Kitchen Nightmares in 2007.

Russell Brand & Pals Visit London Strip Club

9/26/2010 2:30pm EDT
Russell Brand
British comic Russell Brand went back to his bad boy ways for his bachelor party on Saturday - he visited a notorious London strip club with his pals.

The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star is preparing to wed his pop star girlfriend Katy Perry next month, and enjoyed one of his final days as a single man watching his beloved West Ham soccer team beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur with former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher and comic David Walliams.

He was later joined by TV host Jonathan Ross, director Guy Ritchie and rocker Carl Barat for a meal at Gordon Ramsay's posh eaterie The Albion before th...
