Hunger Games wins big at MTV Movie Awards

The 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' won big at the MTV Movie Awards last night (04.13.14).
The sci-fi adventure film came out on top at the event, which was hosted by Conan O'Brien and held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, after walking away with three awards, including the coveted Movie of the Year prize, even beating Oscar-winning '12 Years A Slave'.
Jennifer Lawrence - who plays Katniss Everdeen - was honored with the Best Female Performance gong while her co-star Josh Hutcherson - who plays Peeta Mellark - was crowned with the Best Male Performance title.

The 'We're the Millers' actor - who is nominated for the prestigious EE Rising Star Award - will share his special moment at the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (02.16.14) with his parents and insisted his mum Caroline join him on the red carpet.

'Gravity' leads the BAFTA Film nominations with 11 nods.

The space drama is up for a string of accolades, including the coveted Best Film and Outstanding British Film, while its star Sandra Bullock is also nominated for Best Actress and filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron is nominated for Best Director.

'American Hustle' and '12 Years a Slave' received nominations in 10 categories, while 'Captain Phillips' is up for nine awards.

All four of the top nominated movies will contest for Best Film, along with 'Philomena'.

Will Poulter was "totally fine" with showing off his nuts in "We're the Millers."
