Scott Porter
Hart Of Dixie star Scott Porter is a married man after exchanging vows with his girlfriend on Saturday.

The actor/singer, 33, wed casting producer Kelsey Mayfield in Austin, Texas, after four years of dating.

Just hours before heading down the aisle, Porter tweeted, "Today is the day. There are no more tomorrows. And I could NOT be happier!"

He later posted, "Two families became one today... We love y'all so much."

The couple became engaged in January last year after meeting on the set of his TV sports drama Friday Night Lights.

'The Good Wife:' Another Piece of Kalinda's Secret Past and Alicia's Big Question

February 16th, 2011 10:24am EST

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points of Tuesday night's episode of The Good Wife.

The Good Wife didn't have to step into the courtroom once Tuesday night to provide some major intrigue for viewers.

On the Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) versus Blake (Scott Porter) front, the dueling investigators got as close as they probably ever will to doing the deed. Right after Kalinda received tempting personal (and professional) offers from FBI agent Lana Delaney (Jill Flint) in a dark hotel room, Kalinda only had to walk down the hall to...

In the second part of our farewell to Friday Night Lights, producers and cast talk about the show's controversial storylines (murder! abortion!), the show-saving fan campaigns, sending the Taylors to East Dillon and (unbelievably!) hating on the Panthers.

Scott Porter Discusses 'Bandslam,' His Duet With Hugh Grant & More

August 11th, 2009 9:57am EDT
Scott Porter
Scott Porter, who stars in the upcoming film "Bandslam" (opening Friday, August 14) joins us to discuss his character, Ben Wheatly, whose musical inspiration seems to stem from a slight misinterpretation of Bruce Springsteen songs. We also catch up on what Jason Street -- Scott's character from "Friday Night Lights" -- is up to these days (not to mention we discover, in a pretty traumatic way, Scott knows a thing or two about football himself), the story behind his duet with Hugh Grant in the "Pop Goes My Heart" video from "Music and Lyrics" and why every character he plays seems to wind up...

Bandslam Aly & AJ, Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Aly Michalka join Gaelan Connell, Scott Porter, and Lisa Kudrow in the music-driven comedy "Bandslam". When gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banks (Michalka) asks new kid in town Will Burton (Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Porter), at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands.

Against all odds, their band develops a sound all its own with a real shot at success in the contest. Meanwhile, romance brews between Will and Sam (Hudge...

Attack Of The Comic Book Movies

February 12th, 2009 12:02pm EST
Watchmen
Bringing comic book heroes (and villains) to the big screen has meant big bucks for movie studios in recent years. With huge budgets and state of the art special effects, it's easier than ever for filmmakers to convincingly create the fantasy worlds that classic comic characters inhabit, both delighting die-hard "geeks," and captivating folks who've never picked up a comic book in their lives.

Comic book films have always been popular, dating back to the movie serials of the 1940s featuring Superman, Batman, and Flash Gordon, just to name a few. Christopher Reeve's "Superman" in 1978...

'Friday Night Lights' Goes Back To Its Roots, But NBC Continues To Bury The Show

January 18th, 2008 9:18am EST
Friday Night Lights
It's baa-ack! And in more ways than one. NBC began airing new episodes of "Friday Night Lights" to little, okay zero, fanfare. It really is a shame because this pair of episodes marked not only a welcome return to the airwaves, but a return to form as well for this critics' darling.

The first episode, "There Goes the Neighborhood", instantly threatened to resume the Soap Opera-ish qualities that have heavily contributed to the show's sophomore slump as a tornado descended upon Dillon. Luckily, the town and viewers were spared any calamities as the tornado only did real damage to nei...

Best TV Shows You Aren't Watching, Part 3

October 5th, 2007 12:00pm EDT
Friday Night Lights
The praise has been spread high and wide by critics, but for whatever reason, people aren't watching NBC's incredible Friday Night Lights, perhaps the best written, acted and produced show on television.

Not a show about forensic specialists, lawyers or doctors, "Friday Night Lights" shines a microscope on regular folks living in a small town fueled by football. The relationships in the show are written so honestly and realistically, it often leaves your heart aching with recognition and the thought, "This is life."

Indeed, the actors have no marks and are encouraged to improv. A...
