Rocker Richard Marx has taken aim at TV doctor Drew Pinsky for failing to help his former patient, embattled singer Mindy McCready, following her apparent suicide on Sunday.

The deeply troubled country musician became the fifth of Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab clients to die after appearing on the show to battle substance abuse issues, and Marx is convinced their TV treatment did nothing to actually help the tragic stars.

Country music singer Mindy McCready's death on Sunday marks the fifth time that a troubled star who appeared on VH1's Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew has died.

McCready was found on the porch of her rural Arkansas home on Sunday, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound just weeks after her two children were taken away from her and put in a foster home.

According to the Associated Press, the singer reportedly threatened to kill herself after losing custody of her boys, Zander, 6, and Zayne, 10 months.

Conaway was hospitalized at Encino Hospital Medical Center on May 11 after he was found unconscious at his California home.
