Regis Philbin & Kathie Lee Gifford May Reunite On 'Today'

June 27th, 2012 8:23am EDT
Regis Philbin
Rumors are swirling that former co-hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford may reunite for a special appearance on NBC's "Today" in order to distract viewers from certain other issues with the morning show.

The idea is to reportedly deflect attention from Ann Curry's certain departure. Since Curry took over from Meredith Vieira ratings have dropped, and many have complained about her lack of chemistry with co-host Matt Lauer.

Curry is expected to take home at least $10 million per a contract she signed last year. Reportedly, Curry is holding out for $20 million as she's only one year i...

Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest, host of American Idol and co-host to Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve since 2005, has offered his thoughts on the venerable TV host's passing.

He writes, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life."

It's assumed that Seacrest will take over for Clark's hosting duties, having joined the host after he suffered a stroke prior to 2004's special. That year, Regis Philbin filled in for the only countdown Clark missed since the show's inception in 1974.

Dick Clark died this morning due to a massive heart at...

The Celebrity Apprentice
During an extended three hour episode, I watched the Celebrity Apprentice last night. And I only fell asleep twice! Here’s what happened:

Last week: The teams put together parties to launch a new line of mock tail drinks. The men of Unanimous won the challenge with their beach party, and the women of Forte suffered the loss of Patricia Velasquez, who was fired. Aubrey cried crocodile tears, as she had hoped Dayana Mendoza would be the one to leave. Clay Aiken brought checks worth $50,000.00 to the National Inclusion project.

This week, the teams meet up at Trump Towers with Donald Trump a...

After Hurricane Irene Most People Would Want Ellen DeGeneres To Entertain Them If They Ever Lost Power Again

September 8th, 2011 7:20pm EDT
Ellen DeGeneres
Millions of Americans along the east coast of the U.S. were affected last week as Hurricane Irene tore through their towns and cities, wreaking havoc with high winds & flooding and ultimately cutting off power to nearly six million people for several days.

While many were set apart from the outside world with no telephones, cell phones or internet service, people had to find a way to pass the time without their everyday amenities. And if it happened again most say they'd want daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to be there with them.

Ellen was tops in a recent poll by GE Generator Syst...

Oops! Jennifer Aniston Says 'Retard' On Regis & Kelly (Video)

August 19th, 2010 11:26pm EDT
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston is under attack from a disability group for using the word "retard" in a TV interview.

The actress was talking about dressing up as her heroine Barbra Streisand for the upcoming issue of Harper's Bazaar on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on Thursday when she made the slip-up.

She said, "I play dress up. I do it for a living - like a retard!"

The off-hand remark has upset officials at The Arc, a non-profit advocate for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and CEO Pete Burns has taken aim at Aniston.

He tells UsMagazine.com, "It was extraordinarily offensiv...

Day Twenty-Five: December 20, 2009 - Love Actually

"Love Actually" is a long one, as far as holiday movies go. Some would assume it is too long for a genre that is notoriously known for cheesy carols and over-the-top design. However, what is at the core here are some very sweet (and often intertwining) stories about young love. From the racy movie stand-ins who come together (no pun intended), bonding even in awkward situations, to the elementary aged boy who is convinced he has found his true love, to the...

Cleveland Cavalier Delonte West waits for his food at KFC and starts out with a goofy rap about it that actually turns pretty entertaining; and the trailer for the upcoming film "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" looks hell-arious! John O'Hurley Discusses His New CD, 'Family Feud,' & His Role As Peterman On 'Seinfeld'

John O Hurley
I lied to John O'Hurley. I told John O'Hurley -- who is best known for his role as J. Peterman on Seinfeld -- on my own merit, that I was going to avoid any questions about Seinfeld. I swear, I gave it a gallant effort. I really thought I was going to make it through. Do you realize how hard of a subject this is to avoid when an actor is so known for a role; especially when that character is on a show I still love? Sadly, I succumbed to temptation. I accept your scorn.

Thankfully, John was more than willing to discuss the iconic show along with his new classical CD, Family Feud, why he...

A Search For The Perfect Hamburger On 'How I Met Your Mother'

How I Met Your Mother
I thought, for a fleeting moment, that How I Met Your Mother had committed an unforgivable sin on Monday night's show. I thought they made up a cross street. Over the years the quality I most love about the show was their accuracy of streets and subway lines of New York City. I can thankfully report back ... I was the one who was wrong.

The latest installment was a "one off" episode, albeit a fairly good one. Nothing advanced the main plot points -- Ted and Stella, Barney and Robin -- instead, focusing on Marshall's unsuccessful job search intertwined with New York gentrification and h...

Summer TV Preview: ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox

May 28th, 2008 9:43am EDT
Hell
Memorial Day has come and gone, and with its passing the summer of 2008 has (unofficially) begun. It wasn't so many years ago that the summer quarter was little more than an exercise in futility for the networks. They figured that no one would want to stay indoors on beautiful summer evenings to watch original programming, so they instead filled the schedule with repeats of shows that weren't interesting the first time around. Occasionally, viewers were treated to the burn-off episodes of a failed (and swiftly canceled) offering from the prior season. Yippee.

That all changed a few...
