5 Underappreciated TV Actors: Where Are They Now?

April 14th, 2013 1:00pm EDT
Fairly Legal
In December, I gave you my list of five TV actors deserving of more notice this year. With 2013 more than a quarter of the way over, it's time to check the results. Where are these talented folks now? Did they get the extra attention they should have? And who else is poised to reach the next level?

1. Michael Trucco

You Know Him From: USA's Fairly Legal, Syfy's Battlestar Galactica

Why He Made The List: He was the MVP of Fairly Legal. While Sarah Shahi was deservedly center stage in the USA original series as mediator Kate Reed, he was her perfect foil as Kate's ex-husband and frequent...

Here's BFTV's list of the celebrities I've fallen in love with and why I want to give them a little extra appreciation this year. Not only are they talented at what they do, but they're also pretty fantastic people.

In alphabetical order:

Jamie Bamber: I waited a couple of years to meet the Monday Mornings star, during which I heard from several mutual friends and fans...

In Memoriam: Why 'Wedding Band' Will Be Missed

January 23rd, 2013 7:45am EST
Wedding Band
On Tuesday, TBS pulled the plug on Wedding Band, electing not to renew the comedy for a second season. It's a sad ending for a show BFTV earlier called the best new comedy on television, but it's also an opportunity to celebrate the ride. Here are five reasons why I'll miss rocking out with Mother of the Bride.

1) The music. You can't have a show called Wedding Band without good music, and it was hugely surprising how great the music was - not only because it was catchy, but because it was real. Shepherded by music guru Adam Schlesinger (from Fountains of Wayne and who also wrote the ridic...

TBS's 'Wedding Band' Rocks Saturday Night Television

December 8th, 2012 9:00am EST
Wedding Band
Now there's a great reason to stay home on Saturday nights. TBS's Wedding Band is the best new comedy of the TV season: a show that delivers great laughs, fantastic music and even a few genuinely touching moments.

The premise sounds like standard sitcom fare: it tracks the exploits of the titular band, called Mother of the Bride and made up of lead singer and ladies' man Tommy (Brian Austin Green), guitarist and family man Eddie (Peter Cambor), the drummer who doesn't know they're not rock stars Eddie (Derek Miller), and bassist and session musician Stevie (Harold Perrineau). Often invol...

LOST
The final scene shown during ABC's Sunday night broadcast of the "LOST" series finale was added to the show by the network - not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - according to a report on Entertainment Weekly.com.

But a spokesman for ABC told the L.A. Times, "The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not p...

Back when television was young, TV fathers were portrayed as all knowing and in control. Fathers knew best. They dispensed unchallenged wisdom. They were calm and smiling and never seemed pressured by any circumstance. They were always clad in a shirt and tie, even while relaxing at home.

The TV fathers of the 50s and 60s had a ready answer for their children, all who sat with rapt attention to the father's every word. "Gee, Dad," said Wally of Leave It to Beaver, "I never thought about it that way." The Brady kids would also express the same types of revelation after a counseling ses...
