11 Stars Who Will Never Be People's 'Sexiest Man Alive'
Channing Tatum was named this year's Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, the 24th guy to earn the superficial title.
Tatum joins the likes of George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington and Brad Pitt on the list; which has been around for 27 years now; and we thought we'd have a little fun with it and come up with a list of the top 10 guys we think (and are pretty sure) will never be named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People -- or any other publication, for that matter.
It may seem a little mean, but it's all in the name of good humor; and if anybody can take it, it's these...

Ron Perlman Dons 'Hellboy' Makeup To Delight A Sick Child
It's not often that a red-faced demon is called on to raise the spirits of a sick little boy. However, that's exactly what leukemia patient Zachary, 6, wanted for his wish through the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
A tall order? Not really — Ron Perlman, the actor that portrayed Hellboy in the 2004 and 2008 movie adaptations — was more than happy to put on the makeup to make his wish come true.
"When the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted Spectral Motion with this request, Mike [from Spectral Motion studios] thought it would be fantastic to have Ron Perlman reprise his role for the day," the studi...

Blu-ray Interview/Review: Billy Zane on Scorpion King 3, Demon Knight And Good Vs. Evil
Nobody does bad like Billy. With his breakout performance as the insane sea creep in the early Nicole Kidman/Sam Neill flick "Dead Calm," the great Billy Zane has a career load of memorable bad guys under his belt. (See "Tales From The Crypt Presents Demon Knight" and "Titanic" to name a few!) He once again enlists the dark side of a cool character with his latest film "The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption," the third in the Scorpion King Franchise that hits Blu-ray and DVD on Jan. 10 from Universal Home Entertainment. Zane plays King Talus, a power hungry ruffian who is searching...

Nick Swardson is going to push your buttons and enjoy doing it. With Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, he's got a platform to cover everything from a parody of 16 and Pregnant to alien paternity tests.
As the show returns for its second season tomorrow night on Comedy Central, Nick recently stopped by to chat with me about what makes up one of the most twisted shows on television and who he finds funny.

Review: 'Drive' Steers Clear Of Movie Cliches By Shifting Into High Gear
“Drive” is a point blank shotgun blast to your dome. This is not a metaphor. About a half hour into “Drive”, the audience (and myself) started questioning what exactly Director Nicolas Winding Refn was attempting to accomplish by putting all this pesky exposition in an action movie. Then second act of the movie kicks in with a literal point-blank shotgun blast to the dome, and does not let up. It's jarring how unexpectedly graphically violent this film is. The blood and violence arrives quickly and doesn't stop flowing until the credits. Once Ryan Gosling's character is in the sh*t, he's i...

Ryan Gosling Thinks He's 'Weird Looking,' Credits REO Speedwagon For 'Drive' Being Made
Drive has been tearing up the festival circuit since it premiered at Cannes in May. Through the Los Angeles Film Festival, Telluride and the Toronto International Film Festival, the film has wowed audiences with its brutal violence and subtle silence, omitting almost all the dialogue.
Ryan Gosling plays a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver at night. He gets into a bad deal trying to help his neighbor (Carey Mulligan). It’s a heroic turn for Gosling. As if he weren’t dreamy enough already, he described movies as putting you under a spell. Is anyone not in love with Ry...

LA Film Fest 2011 Review - 'Drive' A Movie Marriage That Doesn't Work
The strange thing about the engaging work by filmmaker Nicholas Winding Refn (“Bronson” and the “Pusher” trilogy!) is that his movies always seem to relish having an distinctively uneven tone and it’s both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand it’s a unique way of shaking up the traditions of the modern day motion picture, but on the other it’s a discombobulating device that almost ensures the work will never be five-star stuff – a cinematic conundrum indeed. Unfortunately the problem is even more glaring and severe in the case of Refn’s latest outing "Drive" due to the filmmaker abando...

Happy New Year, everyone! Another year crept its way back into our lives, and did it ever so smoothly. Therefore, wishing you all well and here’s to another year of Hollywood egos running around displaying their “talents.” Therefore, as I start with this year’s reviews, I can honestly say this one will not be making any lists come December. Season Of The Witch had to be one of the dullest films I think I’ll see this year, and after reading up on it, I understand why releasing this was a bit iffy. Eventually it had to hit theaters, it’s here, and this is most definitely an acquired taste. I ...

Happy 2011 everyone! I hope you all had a safe New Year’s celebration. While I was waiting for festivities to begin, I happened upon a film about New Year’s Eve that I had never seen before on television called “200 Cigarettes.” This 1999 movie could probably best be described as a “Dazed and Confused” that takes place in the 1980s. Coincidentally it also features Ben Affleck.
The story follows a group of twenty-somethings in New York City trying to find the perfect New Year’s Eve celebration, while also coping with love, loneliness, and desire. This is definitely one of those films ...

Ron Perlman To Play Ugly Transsexual In 'Frankie Goes Boom'
"Hellboy" star Ron Perlman is set to shock fans by playing a transsexual former convict in oddball new movie "Frankie Goes Boom."
The movie star insists he makes a very ugly woman, who changed her name from Phil to Phyllis, in the film - but he had a great time in drag.
Perlman tells WENN, "I'm wearing a dress, a wig, I had my legs, chest and arms shaved. I had a beautiful pedicure and a lovely manicure, and I was the ugliest woman you've ever seen in your life, which is why I took the job.

Coming off the heals of last year’s ‘THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG,’ Disney Pictures has brought forth yet another princess film, only this time around, they’ve done away with all the old-school pencil art authenticity and pretty much trademarked animation for the latest in CGI-based effects.
Question is does it work? Well, for the most part I thought it did. Although a huge fan of what was presented back when I was kid, Disney doesn’t step off much from keeping a story simple and subtle. Full of positive messages for kids to pick up on regarding disobedience and mother-knows-best, there’s a m...

'Tangled' Review: Disney's Magic Is Back With Charming, Rousing Songs & Storyline
Disney has had some hits and misses with animated films in recent memory. Sure, the mighty house of mouse made “Beauty and The Beast” “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” but “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” was sad, “Pocahontas” was oddly animated, “Hercules” was grotesque, and “Mulan” was lacking in song quality. The less said about “Home on The Range” the better.
So Disney went to CGI animated films and tried to play catch up to Pixar. The results thus far have been mixed. “Meet the Robinsons” was cute, “Bolt” was adorable, “Chicken Little” was middling, and nothing really captured the 90's magic...

Highlights & Embarrassing Bits Of 'American Idol's' Season 9 Boston Auditions
For "American Idol" fans, last night's premiere was nothing if not bittersweet. Sweet because after the long hiatus, "Idol" is finally back, bitter because last night was the last first time we'll ever see Simon Cowell again.

Best Celebrity Voice Acting Roles
Voice acting is a much more lucrative business than one might imagine, with the actors in question providing their voice for animated movies, video games, television shows, voice overs, and anything else that requires a voice but no face. Some actors do only that kind of work, giving themselves a certain amount of fame in that industry, such as "The Simpsons" cast.
Everything changed when voice acting became a business not only for unknowns, but also an attractive fad for celebrities who wanted to broaden their horizons ... or make a movie "for the kids." Now it seems that no animated...

Cable programming seems to have a trend other than sex going on. Yes, cable dramas are more violent and vulgar than anything that's found on the standard network lineup. However, cable also seem to love the dynamics that center on families.

Following 'Pan's Labyrinth,' 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' Regresses From Best to Worst For Guillermo del Toro
(Hollywoodchicago) – Hellboy is plugged as the world’s brawniest, kitten-loving superhero. While that paradox is supposed to be both funny and action packed, “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” from famed writer and director Guillermo del Toro falls flat on the funny front and instead winds up on the funny farm.
