| The voice, the acting ability and his character, which shone through in every performance, made Gregory Peck one of my all-time favorites. Gentlemen's Agreement has to be my favorite, which is really saying something considering Roman Holiday and To Kill a Mockingbird top off one of the most impressive filmographies in the business. | ||

Gregory Peck groomed by movie maestro David Selznick was a one of Hollywood's classic actors and great Leading Man to lovely ladies such as Susan Hayward, Ava Gardner, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Jane Fonda, Ingrid Bergman, Jennifer Jones, Deborah Kerr Lauren Bacall, Greer Garson, among many others. Peck and Ms. Jones made a torrid couple in David Selznick's "Duel In The Sun" which at the time was considered a scandalous film. Peck won his Oscar for "To Kill A Mockingbird" and also was nominated for several other films. I met Peck in New York at the Lincoln Center Film Institute Award honoring Mr. Peck Peck was a major International movie star of the very first rank and was solid in a variety of roles in Westerns, War Movies , or as "The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit" Gregory Peck's perona on and of the screen personified Integrity. Peck worked with many of the great Directors such as Vincente Minnelli, Stanley Donen, William Wyler, Elia Kazan, Alfred Hitchcock John Sturges, and two very fine directors who seem to be under appreciated for their work: Henry King (David and Bathsheba) and J. Lee Thompson (Guns of Navarone) Peck's is honored at the Los Angeles Library's Reading Room. Note that his good friend of many years Jennifer Jones is one of the stars who contributed to the Room. The Catholic Gregory Peck is buried in the Grotto of the Our Lady of The Angeles Cathedral in Los Angeles. The Cathedral is Open to the Public and proper attire should be w | ||
