Aaron Paul Playing Han Solo?
It's no secret that Aaron Paul's career has sagged since "Breaking Bad" went away. The shadow of Jesse Pinkman still lingers on.

Or, maybe not, if the newest Internet buzz is to be believed.

From a source at, a rumor's sprung up- a rumor that Aaron Paul may be attached to the first "Star Wars" spin-off film.

The film, scheduled for release at some point in 2016, is rumored to be about a young Han Solo- something that MakingStarWars is reiterating (their source says only two words on the subject- "Han Solo").

It will be directed by Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla") and writ...

Aaron Paul: Barbies, Violent Video Games Are 'More Damaging' Tha
Aaron Paul is hitting back at Toys 'R' Us after the toy store pulled "Breaking Bad" action figures from its shelves.

A parent found the dolls inappropriate for children, and the store took swift action by removing miniatures of Paul's and Bryan Cranston's drug deal characters from its stock.

Paul wrote a series of posts on Twitter, complaining about the action. "Wait, so @ToysRUs pulled all of the Breaking Bad figures from their shelves and still sells Barbie? Hmmmm... I wonder what is more damaging?" he said.

"And what about all of the violent video games you sell @ToysRUs? Do you still...

Florida Woman Petitions Toys R Us To Stop Selling 'Breaking Bad'

Toys R Us has pulled the "Breaking Bad" action figures from its shelves. A spokesperson for the company told the Associated Press on Tuesday, "Let's just say, the action figures have taken an indefinite sabbatical."

So there you go, adult collectors -- now you'll have to find collectibles online or at specialty dealers who will most likely charge much more than TRU's retail prices.

As for now, you can still pick up the 8-inch "Nightmare on Elm Street" Freddy Krueger action doll.

A Florida mother is freaking out because Toys R Us is selling "Breaking Bad" action figures.

Pierce Brosnan, Aaron Paul Plus Nick Hornby Equals Success With 'A Long Way Down'

9/9/2014 12:05pm EDT
A Long Way Down
As far as novel-to-film adaptations go, the 2000 translation of Nick Hornby's High Fidelity set the bar. Pairing the reliably witty John Cusack and a yet to explode into stardom Jack Black with Hornby's smart, culturally literate observations about life, love and middle age, it was a thing of beauty.

So in 2014, here comes the third Hornby-based movie: A Long Way Down, boasting an attention-getting foursome including recent Emmy winner Aaron Paul and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan, and tackling harder subjects like attempted suicide and raising children with disabilities. Could it captur...

'Breaking Bad' And The Community Power Of Television

5/7/2014 3:15pm EDT
Breaking Bad
Editorial: This past weekend, I finally started watching Breaking Bad.

It was an oversight on my part, of course. The series deserves every piece of critical acclaim that was thrown at it while I wasn't tuned in. And my misstep was made doubly embarrassing by the fact that one of my good friends was actually a member of Breaking Bad's principal cast. Really, I had no excuse. But I finally got around to screening season one last week, and over the days it took me to finish seven episodes, I learned three things:

1. Aaron Paul is the best pure actor I've ever seen. As in, jaw hanging open w...

'Need For Speed' - Fast, Sexy Cars And Aaron Paul Makes For A To
Right off the bat, I have to say that, I absolutely loved this film. If you're wondering why, well, first of all, it's about cars. Not just any old cars...I'm talking hot, sexy, super fast, racing cars.

Muscle cars and Europeon super cars.

From America, we have Mustangs, Shelby GT500, 69 Ford Gran Torino, 68 Chevy Camaro. The European selection includes some of the most gorgeous cars ever made; Lamborghinis, Sesto Elemento, a GTA Spano, a Bugatti Veyron, a McLaren P1 and a Saleen 57.

Many of these rare cars, were featured in the video game that this film is based on. But 'Need For Spe...

One of the more exciting films currently making the festival rounds is Hellion, starring Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul. To get the dish on the movie, BFTV recently had the opportunity to speak with executive producer Tanner Beard, who also has a supporting role on-screen alongside Paul and Juliette Lewis (The Firm). Sandra Bullock Golden Globes
Sunday night's Golden Globe awards ceremony was full of hilarious and memorable one-liners from the show's hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, along with award presenters and recipients.

One of the funnier moments came when Alfonso Cuaron accepted the Best Director award for his film Gravity, during which he thanked Sandra Bullock for not quitting the film when he told her he was going to give her an STD.

"Sandra, you are the most amazing collaborator," Cuaron said, "I want to thank you for not quitting when you thought that I had told you, 'Sandra, I am going to give you herpes,' when I rea...

Later in the day, during the panel discussion for the show, Cranston took the stage while wearing the mask and peeled it off in front of the crowd.

Roush Review: 'Big Love' Finale

3/21/2011 2:53pm EDT
Big Love | Photo Credits: Isabella Vosmikova/HBO
If HBO were to do a sequel to Big Love, it would have to be called something like The Three Sister-Wives. Not exactly Chekhov, but I'd probably watch. Barb, Margene and Nicki carrying on without Bill: That's already a home plus.

I had drifted a while ago from the flock of followers of this weird and lately quite preachy series about polygamy and family and faith, but did a marathon catch-up over the last week in time to watch the final chapter, which aimed for transcendence and at times achieved it. The hour-plus finale thankfully shucked much of the grotesque Utah-Mormon-Gothic melodrama ...

Mega-Emmy Diary 2010

8/30/2010 8:00am EDT
2010 Emmys
It's Emmy time again, kids. And you know what that means: Mega Emmy Diary time.

Now this is something of special ceremony in my estimation as it is so chock full of new nominees (four alone in each comedic supporting category!) that we're likely to see some surprises and some truly touched performers break through.

So, without further ado, let's see what Jimmy Fallon can do...

5:00 – We start with a backstage shot – one of my favorite things about the Emmys has always been when the person directing the show wins and we get a look at the show being put together as it happens. So, needless...

2010 Emmys: Who Should Win & Who Will Win

8/28/2010 1:00pm EDT
2010 Emmys
It’s a transitional year for the Emmys, meaning this is one of the more exciting races in recent memories. The flood of new nominees (brought on by a stellar development slate) means that we can no longer rely on the predictable Emmy voting to determine winners. Instead, this is a year where we can see many newcomers emerging and starting a whole new slate of predictable nominees.

Yes, that was a little cynical, but it’s the sad truth of the Emmys – habits are hard to break for the voters. Luckily, this year the virgin nominees have afforded them an extensive choice for brand new habits.

You may have forgotten since there is about a 47-month lull between the nomination announcements and the actual awards ceremony, but the Primetime Emmy Awards are coming to your living room on Sunday evening with everybody’s favorite human being, Neil Patrick Harris, serving as host for the evening.

Hopefully, the choice of somebody known for being funny and having talents that extend beyond being able to sit still for a perfect haircut and remembering the names of contestants will show a marked improvement in the quality of the ceremony with the return to Emmy ceremonies of yore where b...

Emmy Nomination Surprises, Snubs And Shouldn't Be Nominated

How I Met Your Mother
To paraphrase Ned Flanders, apparently an Emmy nomination is easier to get than an acceptance letter from Arizona State.

This morning, Emmy tried to one-up Oscar's new rule of ten by including six nominees in the acting categories and a whopping seven in the series categories. Yes, if you made a television series this year, or appeared on one, chances are you heard your name called in North Hollywood this morning.

With so many nominess, it seems impossible that any deserving performances or series were left out. Right? Sadly, no. And, of course, there are plenty of nominees who sh...

Emmy Voters, Please Recognize These Shows & Stars!

7/13/2009 11:49am EDT
Big Love
The 2009 Emmy nominees will be announced Thursday morning and despite recent changes to the voting system, Emmy voters just can't seem to stray away from the same old outcome. Sure, 30 Rock gets showered with love, but how many more times does Mariska Hargitay need to make the cut?

Here are some names we'd like to see on the roster this year (in alphabetical order):

Big Love (HBO) - Ok Emmy voters, it's been three seasons. It's time to get over your aversion to the icky polygamy premise and embrace the TV bliss that is "Big Love." After a two year break (damn writers' strike!) the sh...

TV Honorees That Should Get Their First Shot At Emmy Nominations

6/10/2009 12:02pm EDT
Aaron Paul
Yesterday, we went over the Emmy nominees who have overstayed their welcome. Those perennial TV honorees that simply don't deserve the recognition they once did or, in some cases, never did at all.

So if they're out, who's in? Surely, there can't be too many nominees waiting in the wings. After all, television professionals choose these awards; they can't possibly leave out any substantial number of qualified candidates in favor of perennial duds.

Unfortunately, that's the way it is. Voters simply don't like to change their ways with regards to voting. It almost seems that a ...
