'Supernatural' Finale Recap: Fall From Grace
If I had to describe one word to showrunner's Jeremy Carver's season of The CW's "Supernatural," it would be ambitious. If I had to do the same with the season finale, it would be spectacular. From writing to acting to dazzling special effects, "Sacrifice” was as grand and cinematic as the blockbusters that will fill the cineplex this summer.

'Supernatural' Recap: A Knight's Trial
It doesn't take a Stanford-educated genius like Sam to figure out that I’m not an unbiased "Supernatural" blogger. I happily devour everything I can find about it, and put my own musings out into the void. In spite of all that, I still wasn't prepared for the whack-a-doo brilliance of "The Great Escapist," thanks to write Ben Edlund (who deserves an Emmy-nod for penning this stellar episode). Position yourself near your fainting couch—because the all of the feels make you swoon like Scarlett O’Hara—and let's dive in, shall we?

'Supernatural' Recap: Call Of Duty
"Pac-Man Fever" seemed like it had the makings of being a marshmallow-light filler before the inevitable heaviness of this season's final episoes. Surprisingly, it was a heartwarming, quirky tearjerker packed with feels, sweet hugs...and a side of exploding corpses.

'Supernatural' Recap: Papa Don't Preach
Last week's stunner of an episode set the bar to meteoric heights, and this week, it was time to brace for the inevitable fall. Despite the intriguing premise of a Professor Xavier-esque school for gifted and orphaned hunters, “Freaks and Geeks” was a convoluted clunker that left the cast to do most of the heavy-lifting.

‘Supernatural’ Recap: The Pizza Man Cometh
If you haven't figured it out yet, "Supernatural" is not a sci-fi fairy tale where the hero rides in on his trusted steed, kills the monster and saves the princess. No, in this realm, the princess is immolated on the ceiling and our heroes are doomed to be tortured in hell, purgatory or both. They do have a pretty badass steed, though. This week, "Supernatural" returned from its hiatus with an angst-ridden, gut-wrenching stunner of an episode that bid farewell to a fan favorite, severely tested one of the show’s most celebrated ships, and made us all remember why it hurts so good.

'Supernatural' Recap: 'Cause We're Worth It
I must confess that I am a sucker for Greek mythology, and I was a fangirl of those campy, and now classic ‘90s television series, “Hercules: The Legendary Journey” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” so I was delighted when the brothers Winchester decided to tackle Mt. Olympus.

'Supernatural' 8x15 Recap: Unbreakable Bond
Last week’s excellent installment of “Supernatural” not only set the bar to skyscraper levels for the rest of the season, but also prompted a myriad of questions and musings that haunted me all week: What if Kevin got the translation wrong since the he only has half of the tablet? With one trial down, how hard would the remaining tests be? What exactly was that glowing light that traveled up Sam’s arm at the end of last week’s episode? Was it a good thing?

‘Supernatural’ Recap: The Brave And The Beautiful
You can keep the overpriced roses and forego the horrendous Nicholas Sparks’ movie, because there’s not much more I’d want to do than spend time with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ Sam and Dean Winchester on Valentine’s Day.
“Trial And Error” was the triumphant return to what “Supernatural” ultimately is: an addicting rollercoaster ride that starts campy, peaks at heart-wrenching and finishes with a little mystery and a lot of feels. 'Supernatural' Recap: Get Your Geek On
This week’s episode, aptly titled “Everybody Hates Hilter,” tackles the bleak fodder that is World War II. Of course, this being “Supernatural” and an episode penned by the deliciously weird Ben Edlund, it managed to pack some belly laughs and golden moments to lighten up fare stemming from one of the darkest moments in history.
After I initially watched the episode, I honestly was clueless as to what it was about or even what had happened. This was a windy, exposition-heavy episode that spanned decades, families and unearthed yet another near-extinct secret society. I watched it again...

'Supernatural' Recap: Back To The Future
Ever since the stupendous and Emmy-worthy season 4 episode, “In The Beginning,” the “Supernatural” writers have winningly explored the theme of time-travel and shaken the Winchester family tree in episodes like “Time After Time,” "The Song Remains The Same" and this week's A-Bomb of an installment, “As Time Goes By.”

'Supernatural' Recap: Eternal Sunshine of the Tortured Mind
“Supernatural” had me at the first “son of a bitch!” After a shocker of a winter finale, that left Sam and Dean in opposite corners on opposite side of the country—Dean siding with troubled vampire Benny; and Sam accidentally reuniting with his old flame Amelia—it returns with the show’s strange and engrossing take on a romantic comedy. “Torn and Frayed” had it all: angels, sacrifice, and heartrending break-ups.

'Supernatural': 5 Spoilers You Need To Know
In entertainment, six weeks can be a lifetime. The CW’s “Supernatural” is finally returning after a lengthy hiatus on Jan. 16. In the last episode of 2012, Sam and Dean’s bromance seemed irrevocably broken after an epic argument over Dean’s Purgatory-forged friendship with vampire Benny and Sam’s lost love, Amelia. 'Supernatural' Recap: Bloody Ambition
This week's episode of "Supernatural" felt like the most ambitious undertaking for the Little Show That Could has attempted since Season 5’s epic “The End.” There are neon blue portals between worlds, demonic tornadoes, a demon mothership, and rescue and escape mission in two realms. "A Little Slice of Kevin" also marked the return of a fan favorite. Let's break it down!

'Supernatural' Recap: Brothers Up In Arms
Last week, "Supernatural" took a big artistic risk with "Bitten," the found-footage episode that delved into the very short lives of three co-eds turned werewolves with the two leads rack up scant minutes of airtime. For this blogger, the risk was worth it. This week, "Supernatural" took another gamble by wading into the back-story Dean's ally in Purgatory—a vampire named Benny—and unfortunately, it went bust. It's a shame, especially since this episode aired on Halloween and didn't contain a single jump-out-of-your-skin scare that “Supernatural” has mastered.

'Supernatural' Recap: Down The Bunny Hole We Go
Over the last few seasons, it’s become lauded tradition that the star, Jensen Ackles, steps behind the camera to direct an episode of “Supernatural.” This week’s episode was an Ackles family affair as it also featured Jensen’s real life father and actor, Alan (If you couldn’t tell the relations by the nose, the voice was a dead giveaway). It also marked the return of the show's monster-of-the-week format, and somehow managed to pack some pretty loaded brotherly angst in-between the heart-eating plotlines. Let's break it down.

'Supernatural' 8.2 Recap: The Greatest Love Of All
To the outside world, the Winchesters, who have saved the world a few times over at great personal sacrifice, are giant weapon-wielding psychopaths who fondle corpses when they're not mowing people down with machine guns. I’ve always found that dichotomy perversely entertaining, more than a little sad, and a brilliant foil to keep Sam and Dean from ever really winning anything. To Kevin Tran’s tigress of a mother (played by an unfortunately nip-tucked Lauren Tom), they’re wild men who haven’t been taught any manners, like greeting people by slashing them in the face with holy water is rude...

As much as I love dishing out juicy spoilers for my favorite television shows, I actively avoid them for “Supernatural” premieres and finales. So I went into last night’s season opener not entirely sure of what to expect, especially since the show—now in its eighth season—has a new showrunner in former writer and producer, Jeremy Carver.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that in Carver’s hands, this paranormal drama, like the Impala, is slicker, sharper and burdened with history, but there are still some issues under the hood.

'Supernatural' Season 8 Promo: One Hell Of An Endgame
After seven seasons of killing monsters, exorcising demons and defending the world against imminent demise again and again, a newly released promo for “Supernatural’s” eighth season finds Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, respectively) finally taking the offensive. The prophet Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) has somehow escaped from Crowley’s clutches to inform the brothers about another one of God's stone tablets that explains how to close the gate to hell permanently, and put our hot, angsty hunters out of a job.

'Supernatural' Season 7 Finale Recap: Winchesters, Interrupted
At its core, “Supernatural” is about two brothers, a badass car, and the crazy, colorful creatures they encounter and people they save on their road-tripping adventures. It simultaneously excels and breaks our hearts when anything threatens the delicate balance of off-the-wall humor, fraternal bonding and compelling action. The seventh season finale capped off a season of supreme highs and devilish lows by bidding farewell to a fan favorite, resurrecting another, and boldly going where no Winchester had gone before. I’ve always admired the old adage, “Don’t work hard; work smart.” While I’m assuming the crew and cast toil their hot little asses off, the writers have always worked smart. This week’s installment of “Supernatural” is proof. as it brilliantly connects the bizarre dots scattered throughout the season and still manages to poke fun at both Americans who love mass-produced junk food and the heated political climate.

'Supernatural' 7.21 Recap: What Beats An Angel?
It’s been an unofficial tradition for “Supernatural’s” 20th episode to mine the treasures of eccentricities possessed by recurring star, Misha Collins, and/or to lay the groundwork for the season finale. Last year, I was riveted by the fantastic “The Man Who Would Be King” that detailed Castiel's fall from fierce, righteous angel to collaborator with demons. This year, I was mildly entertained by a funny, albeit meandering episode that detailed Castiel redefining his grace.

'Supernatural' 7.20 Recap: Geekster's Paradise
“Supernatural” has always been admirably diverse, but around the fifth season, hunting became a good old boys club. Granted, those boys were equal parts pretty and goofy, but I was still perturbed by the severe lack of female hunters, angels and key players. So I wished, prayed and may have even written a few angry emails begging for a decent female character that wasn’t a damsel in need of rescue or charmed by Sam and Dean’s spectacular faces, had no problem fighting for the greater good and maybe had a few awesome one-liners. The answer to my prayers came in the form of Charlie Bradbur...

It’s probably inappropriate if I say I’d like to be a “fancy lady.” The moniker makes it seem alluring, like a woman who wears the finest dresses detailed with gold buttons and a bustle and rides side-saddle. It sounds like the heroine in Keira Knightley’s next movie. Only an old-timey ghost on “Supernatural” could make the world’s oldest profession sound romantic and cool.

'Supernatural' 7.18 Recap: Raise Your Glass
Leave it to “Supernatural” to wallop fans with Sam bravely facing his own demise only for poor dead Castiel to fly in for a last minute save and then to return with a lighthearted, filler episode that played as both a love letter to binge-drinking and a PSA for drinking and driving, and then stomp on our hearts with a one-two punch of--SPOILER ALERT-- Bobby Singer’s singers return.
