Patton Oswalt Pitches 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Plot During Cut 'Parks And Recreation' Filibuster Scene (Watch It)
Patton Oswalt delivered a hilarious take on U.S. Senator Rand Paul's March filibuster for Thursday night's episode of Parks and Recreation -- but you won't see the scene on television.
Oswalt was asked by the show's producers to "ramble a bit about whatever subject he wanted" while filming a scene in which he takes the podium at a Pawnee City Council meeting in order to filibuster their vote.
The comedian took them up on their offer and went into an 8+ minute rant about what Disney, who acquired Lucasfilm late last year, should do for the plot of the next Star Wars movie.

Jake greets Alan with a “good morning,” although it’s two p.m. He says he slept in, but is surprised to hear its Sunday, since he can’t figure out what happened to Saturday. Alan’s concerned; Jake’s graduating from high school in a few days, and has no idea what he’ll do next. As he tells Jake that he’ll never amount to anything if he sleeps all day, a naked Walden wanders into the kitchen, having just wakened as well.

Bisexual actress Evan Rachel Wood burst into tears after hearing a same-sex marriage ban was passed in her native North Carolina on Tuesday, but insists: "I will never give up my right to love."
Voters turned out across the state on Tuesday morning and The Ides of March star rallied support for the gay community by urging her Twitter.com fans to shut down Amendment One, which declares marriage between a man and a woman the only valid domestic legal union.
However Wood, who grew up in Raleigh, was left devastated when it was announced the bill had been passed.

When Walden has a dental floss emergency, it turns out that Alan is ‘a soldier in the war against gingivitis,’ with pockets full of a tasty selection, including cinnamon.

Review: 'Young Adult' Is Immature
I have a superstition that a studio's confidence in a film can often be determined by length of the movie's Wikipedia page. Young Adult's Wikipedia is about 800 words long if you subtract links and other website jibba jabba. The recent Muppets has about 5000 words. The reason for invoking this completely unscientific ponderment of mine is because I'm a big fan of Director Jason Reitman, so this short wiki, not a week out from the release, was a bit odd to me.
And now I know why. “Young Adult” is shallow and awful, and, ha ha, has all the depth of a young adult novel about vampires. Except ...

Review: 'Young Adult' 'Two Jews On Film' Applaud Charlize Theron's Tour De Force Performance (Video)
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin-Schwartz: Mavis Gary, (Charlize Theron) 37, has a very pretty face and very pretty hair...except for the bald spot on the back of her head...Seems Mavis has a nasty little habit of pulling out her hair, whenever the mood strikes her.
She also has a high-rise apartment overlooking the Minneapolis skyline and an adorable Pomeranian (are there any other kind) named Dolce.

'The United States Of Tara’s' Season And Show Finale ‘Best Parts’
I am so going to miss The United States of Tara, and the finale exemplified many of the reasons why this show should have been renewed. The acting is superb, the characters well realized, and the comedy/drama fine line walked so exquisitely that the viewer truly doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

It’s a new day. Neil and Charmaine share breakfast in bed, Kate and Evan bond with his son, Monty and at Grandma Sandy’s Christmas filled home, Marshall tries to handle his grief over Lionel’s death. At the Gregson home, Bryce has taken over Marshall’s room. In the kitchen, Max discovers Tara alter Buck hiding below the counter. Buck wants a beer and a word. He’s come to say goodbye. He’s convinced he’s alter Bryce’s next victim, and he has instructions for the disposal of his ashes. There doesn’t seem to be anything the alters can do – Bryce is decimating them one by one. And no one knows ...

Charmaine and Kate ask Tara why she hasn’t told Max about her new alter, Bryce. Bryce may be only 14, but he’s a homicidal maniac who’s been killing off the other alters, and tried to kill Dr. Hattaras through his allergy to seafood. Tara’s packed up all traces of Bryce, including the clothing of the ‘murdered’ alters, while taking heavy doses of her medication. Since Bryce has been forcing Tara to throw up the pills she’s swallowed, Tara is now snorting her meds. She doesn’t want to spoil Max’s trip, and has decided she’ll wait for his return, and his help in dealing with Bryce.

'United States Of Tara' - The Road To Hell Is Paved With Breast Intentions May 2
Tara, working outside, is bedevilled by a cawing crow. She transitions into Buck, who shoots the crow, then back into herself as Tara. While telling Dr Hatteras about the incident, she says that she thinks the contract they’ve made is really working out. He’s more concerned with what Tara is not telling him, like how she’s dealing with Max. She claims they’ve talking about his worries, but Hatteras says having sex instead of talking is not dealing with a problem. He’s concerned that she has settled for things being ‘fine.’

Recap: 'United States of Tara' 'Dr Hatteras' Miracle Elixir' April 27, 2011
Tara wants to drop her Abnormal Psychology class with Dr Hatteras, embarrassed by her performance during the test, in which all her personalities emerged. He refuses to let her drop the course, completely intrigued with the contract papers on which her personalities wrote. He’s obsessed with her condition, and wants to write a paper that will free him from his job at the college. She protests that she’s not a lab rat for him to study. He gives her a book he’s written about a patient he has helped, and tells her to read it.

'United States Of Tara' - Season 3 Episode 4 - Wheels Recap
Charmaine is being rushed to the hospital by ambulance, as Tara tries to provide comfort. She runs through a litany of Tara’s sins, including the wedding disturbance, and tells the staff at the hospital to keep the ‘crazy’ away from her and the baby. Of course, given her verbal diarrhoea in the ambulance, it’s debatable who the crazy is.
Speaking of crazy, let’s join Kate at the airport. She’s downloading her entire brain onto Ray, a baggage attendant, as she waits for her bags to reappear. Ray seems taken with Kate. Kate hangs out at the airport, waiting for her missing bag. Along comes o...

'United States Of Tara' Season 3 Advance Review
Along with Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara started its third season on Showtime Monday night. So how does season three look? Certainly like one of the more unique shows on television.
Confession time: I have never seen Juno. The only reason I know who Diablo Cody is, is because of all the publicity that surrounded that movie. I'd never seen this show either until now. So for me, United States of Tara was a big blank slate without any expectations or preconceived notions. Now, I can say that I wouldn't necessarily call it appointment television, but I am considerably impressed with...

'The United States Of Tara' Season 3 Premiere - Recap
Season Three’s opener ‘youwillnotwin’ reintroduces us to the Gregson’s, a typical American family, as long as the typical American family’s 2.5 kids has a .5 component of multiple altered personalities. Well, it’s really the mom that has the alters, but you get the drift.
These alters include Alice, the 50’s housewife, T, the out of control teen, Chicken, Tara’s 5 year old self, Buck, the male redneck biker, and Shoshanna, the therapist. They haven’t been seen in months, or so Tara believes. Tara’s son, Neil, is in the midst of his first real love affair with Lionel, while her daughter, K...

Greetings ghouls, goblins and basement dwellers!
Unless you’re in Southern California (113 degrees this week!) the weather is starting to cool off and the neighborhood trees are just starting to throw on their fall colors. 2010 Grammy Awards Fashion (Photos)
Gold and beige were hot colors at last night's Grammy Awards. 'Community' Recap:'Home Economics'
After a nearly perfect Halloween episode, this week's Community feels like a bit of a let down. Jeff appears topless right away, revealing himself to be living out of his car. Again, this show continues to mime the various aspects of the community college experience, this time the compromises one makes with his pride. Jeff still wants to be a superficial lawyer with a lavish condo and a Lexus, but in order to become a real person, someone Britta would date, he'll have to set his sights lower.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Informant,' 'Jennifer's Body' & More
Last week, the long weekend gave me a chance to see "District 9" in the movie theater. The film's science fiction elements took a back seat to its moral objective however, which was roughly to serve as an allegory for the Apartheid in South Africa.
Treatment of the aliens by humans, as a subhuman species really becomes emotionally jarring through the intense blood and gore that comprise the latter half of the movie. Audiences ultimately walk away from "District 9" disgusted by the inhumanity of the human race.

Patton Oswalt: 'Big Fan' Of Comics, Not Sports
In Big Fan, comedian Patton Oswalt plays a huge New York Giants fan. The problem is, he doesn't exactly root for a team on Sunday in real life. So in his exclusive chat with PopEater, he summed up how he got into character: "Basically I had to draw on my geeky love for comics. It's the same spark, just different fuel."
Big Fan has been riding a wave of buzz since its Sundance Film Festival debut - even drawing implications of a Golden Globe or Oscar nod. "I honestly don't know what to do when you're nominated. I'm assuming they send a car for you, and you go to some parties.

Learn More About SyFy's New Drama And 'BSG' Spinoff 'Caprica'
Long ago, in a popular culture period far, far away, to watch or read science fiction was synonymously tied to the then derogatory term of 'geek'. Now that stereotype has somewhat weakened. One of the many reasons for this change was the Ron Moore reimagining of 'Battlestar Galactica' in 2004. 'BSG' was a hit not just amongst the typical sci-fi fan base, as it is most commonly discussed as a space opera, but to more non-traditional fans. When 'Heroes' debuted on NBC it was a break in network format. Many questioned why it was not to air on the sister channel, then, Sci-Fi, and spurred d...
