The ashes of acting icon Peter O'toole are set to be scattered in his birthplace of Connemara, Ireland.

The Lawrence of Arabia star died on 14 December (13), aged 81, and he was mourned at a funeral in London last weekend (21Dec13).

His body was cremated and now his daughter, Kate, reveals they will be taking his remains back to Connemara to a final resting place, according to

The Lawrence Of Arabia star passed away on December 14th at the age of 81, and he was mourned at a funeral in the British capital.

The legendary 'Lawrence of Arabia' star passed away aged 81 at a London Hospital yesterday (12.14.13) following a long illness.
The Irish-born actor got his big break when Sir David Lean cast him in the lead as adventurer T.E. Lawrence in his groundbreaking 1962 epic.
For his role he received the first of eight Oscar nominations for Best Actor, although he never won the award.
Peter's other Oscar nominations included his memorable roles in 'Becket', 'The Stunt Man' and 'Goodbye, Mr Chips'.

Legendary actor Peter O'Toole, star of such Hollywood classics as "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Goodbye, Mr. Chips," has died.

O'Toole passed away at Wellington hospital in London Saturday night following a long illness. He was surrounded by his family and friends, according to TMZ. The star, who battled and overcame stomach cancer during the 1970s, was 81.
