Sophia Bush & On-Screen Husband Split In Real Life

February 16th, 2012 9:14am EST
Sophia Bush
Sophia Bush has split from her "One Tree Hill" co-star and on-screen husband Austin Nichols.

The couple recently ended its on/off relationship after six years of dating.

A source tells UsMagazine.com, "She's moving on... because she didn't think he was The One."

Bush was previously married to fellow co-star Chad Michael Murray in 2005, while she also romanced another castmate, actor James Lafferty.

Nichols broke off his engagement to artist Claire Oswalt in 2004 following a seven-year courtship.

Sophia Bush To Marry Austin Nichols?

November 10th, 2010 4:21pm EST
Sophia Bush
Actress Sophia Bush is set to wed her One Tree Hill co-star and real life boyfriend Austin Nichols, according to tabloid reports.

The 28 year old has been dating the actor on and off since 2006 and the couple is now said to be heading to the altar. A source tells Star magazine the pair "plan to get married soon."

Bush was previously married to another One Tree Hill star, Chad Michael Murray, but their 2005 nuptials lasted just five months. She went on to romance another show colleague, James Lafferty, before settling with Nichols, 30.

A representative for Bush had yet to respond to re...

Sophia Bush
Sophia Bush has revealed she and her One Tree Hill co-star Austin Nichols have been dating for the last four years.

The actress was rumored to have started a relationship with Nichols last year after they were spotted being intimate at the Hollywood Style Awards in October.

But now Bush has opened up about the romance, admitting she and her beau actually started dating in 2006 - two years before Nichols even started working on the TV drama. And the star is smitten with the actor, who took a job on One Tree Hill in 2008 and moved to be closer to her.

She says, "We've been dating off an...

TV Shows On The Verge Of Jumping The Shark

July 15th, 2009 11:23am EDT

The concept of 'jumping the shark' is a fatal one for many involved in television. It all began in the tragic episode of 'Happy Days' in which iconic character, The Fonz, literally jumps over a shark, thus placing a death toll on the rest of the series. Decades later, some TV writers have playfully used the term in decidedly ironic tones, both 'The X-Files' and 'Supernatural' have episodes titled 'Jump the Shark' (Note: a portion of 'Supernatural's' crew are 'X-Files' alum) that tiptoe the line of throwing a series into oblivion.

We will have a few current TV shows that we believe ar...

'One Tree Hill' Season Finale

May 21st, 2009 4:23pm EDT
One Tree Hill
The season-six finale of "One Tree Hill" aired last Monday night and featured an end to an era. Chad Michael Murray ("Lucas") and Hilarie Burton ("Peyton") recently confirmed they would not be returning next season. Could this be it for the show? Will the producers decide to cancel next season? Despite the disappointment, the writers at least gave each of the cast of characters a positive spin in the end.

Brooke's lack of relationship with her mother continued, as Victoria failed to give Brooke Julian's previous message. As the episode neared the end, her Victoria made a surprising...

'One Tree Hill': Wedding Blues

One Tree Hill
As "One Tree Hill" sadly winds down its season, there's nothing like a wedding to spice up the atmosphere. While this has not been their best season by far, it's always disappointing to have to endure another long hiatus before the ensuing premiere. As promised, the results from last week's predictions are in! See where I was spot on and where I went completely wrong! Were your predictions correct?

'One Tree Hill': Future Predictions

One Tree Hill
In light of the exciting, yet surprising turnout of this year's Kentucky Derby, it would suffice to make a few of my own predictions. While many may focus on the past and present, it's time to look from instead the present to the future. This week's airing of "One Tree Hill" provided us with the usual lackluster performances from this season's Tree Hill bunch. Based on current storylines and upcoming previews, check out this season's final predictions by yours truly! Let's see how correct (or wrong) these turn out to be! What are your predictions?

'One Tree Hill' Mother Of All Dreams

April 28th, 2009 4:49pm EDT
One Tree Hill
With only several episodes left in the season, "One Tree Hill" focused on the same storylines with small twists to spark some drama. It's pretty obvious at this point that fans will witness Peyton's life in danger in three weeks. Until then, fans must turn to despondent Brooke, determined Nathan and concerned Lucas to spice up the show.

Since Vampire Victoria's most recent cameo, fans have been treated to Bitter Brook. Along with Sam and Victoria's budding relationship came Brooke's rancid attitude. Jealous, hurt and livid, Brooke continued to spew her candid, yet insulting commen...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: 'Letting Go'

April 1st, 2009 10:11am EDT
One Tree Hill
A fiction-based show is usually given a title to represent the theme of that week's episode. It can be metaphorical, symbolic or simply literal. Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" featured a label entitled "Letting Go." But which storyline or scenario could this have referred to?

Despite fears of the impending baby and Peyton's health, Lucas treated Jamie and Nathan to a day at Keith's old body shop. Now owned and remolded by a different company, it was sad to see the place devoid of Keith and his original auto body shop name. While Jamie bounced excitedly around the shop...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Game Over

When one thinks of the word "over," what comes to mind? Maybe a parent who's celebrating an "Over the Hill" birthday, a friend who finally was able to overcome an obstacle, a leadership position that reigns over someone or maybe that delicious apple turnover you had this morning.

On Monday night's episode of One Tree Hill, the community of Tree Hill found themselves closing chapters to parts of their lives that left dramatic imprints in their hearts and that held such importance and meaning in their world. Once it all came crashing down, the game was over for many.

'One Tree Hill' Serves Up A Lame Duck

One Tree Hill
After nearly a two-month hiatus (who else is tired of the random breaks this show takes?), "One Tree Hill" graced our television screens once again. Just in time for an early St. Patrick's Day celebration, the second half of the season gave no reason to raise our glasses in a toast.

Lame. Expecting the show to begin with a few of its typical "get more bang for your buck" moments, I was horrified to find myself actually semi-bored! Too much time was spent on Lucas and Peyton's baby situation. While I think it's extremely sad this couple has yet another problem to trudge through, i...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Past, Present &...Future?

It's almost hard to believe more than four years has passed since our favorite Tree Hill days. Those days introduced us to the passion of Brooke, the heartache of Peyton and the love of Lucas. They filled our voids with excitement and allowed us a way to escape to another dimension -- well maybe not another dimension, but Tree Hill, North Carolina worked just fine.

Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" launched the ever-anticipated auditions for Lucas' movie, An Unkindness of Ravens. With Reese now on board as Director, all that was left to do was cast the right characters to po...

One Tree Hill
Not long after the Brooke-beater dramatic arrest, the following "One Tree Hill" storylines seem to have something more in common with two-week old bread than elapsed time: a stale taste.

Stale story #1: Mia and Chase's Relationship.

I admit, I like this new couple as much as the rest of us, but honestly, where did it come from? Chase decides to help out Owen at Tric by picking up his shift, only to find out he has no bartending experience. Why would Mia, an underage musician, know anything about making a Long Island Ice Tea? Sure, she's probably had a few drinks here and t...
