Roger Moore Pays Tribute To Late Bond Co-star Richard Kiel

Roger Moore has paid tribute to his two-time James Bond co-star Richard Kiel, calling him a "marvelous man" following his death.

Kiel, who starred opposite Moore as the henchman Jaws in "The Spy Who Loved Me" and its follow-up, "Moonraker," died on Wednesday at St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, Calif., after being hospitalized with a broken leg last week. There's no word on whether or not Kiel's death was related to his broken leg, but the actor had been in poor health in recent years.

Roger Moore has made an urgent plea for additional humanitarian aid on behalf of Syrian refugees in an emotional new video for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The former James Bond star made the promotional clip in his role as the charity's Goodwill Ambassador to raise awareness and funds for the women and children who have had to flee their homes to escape the fighting as the harsh Syrian winter looms.

Roger Moore has hailed Daniel Craig as the "best actor" to have played James Bond.

The 84 year old, who portrayed 007 from 1973 to 1985, caused controversy last year by branding Craig's Quantum of Solace "a long, disjointed commercial" - but Moore insists he is a huge fan of the Layer Cake star.

In his new book Bond on Bond, he writes, "I loved Casino Royale and Daniel Craig. He is a wonderful actor, certainly the best actor to play Bond. (He has) the best build of any Bond."

Daniel Craig looks set to become the longest-running James Bond of all time after producer Michael G. Wilson revealed he'd "love" the actor to play the spy in five more films.

The star has so far signed up to three Bond movies, "Quantum of Solace," "Casino Royale" and upcoming film "Skyfall."

And now he looks set to overtake Roger Moore as the longest-running actor to play the superspy if he signs a deal to film a total of eight movies.

Roger Moore has taken aim at fellow James Bonds Sean Connery and Daniel Craig in a new interview.

The British actor, who portrayed 007 in seven films between 1973 and 1985, admits he hasn't always been a fan of the spy franchise.

He tells Varsity he thought the latest Bond film, Daniel Craig's Quantum of Solace, was "a long, disjointed commercial" and he pokes fun at his predecessor, Scottish star Connery.
