Sir Roger Moore is urging shoppers to boycott the opening of a Fortnum & Mason store in Dubai.
The 86-year-old actor - famed for portraying James Bond in seven movies - has warned shoppers in the region against the prestigious department store, which is widely slammed by animal rights groups for selling foie gras in the UK.
The expensive pate sees birds force-fed grain multiple times a day until their liver swells up to 10 times its normal size. Although foie gras production is banned in the UK, Fortnum and Mason commonly import the products from French farmers to be sold in its Piccadilly ...

James Bond's submarine car from the film The Spy Who Loved Me has sold at auction in London for $825,000 (£550,000).

The vehicle, which Roger Moore drove as 007, went under the hammer on Monday (09Sep13).

It fell short of the $1.5 million (£1 million) it was expected to fetch, but still created an auction buzz when a female buyer and a telephone collector tried to outbid each other for the Lotus Esprit.

The car eventually went to the absent bidder.

Roger Moore has made an urgent plea for additional humanitarian aid on behalf of Syrian refugees in an emotional new video for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The former James Bond star made the promotional clip in his role as the charity's Goodwill Ambassador to raise awareness and funds for the women and children who have had to flee their homes to escape the fighting as the harsh Syrian winter looms.

In the video, Moore says, "Children are paying the highest price. They are dying, they are hurt and they need healing. With winter setting in - things will get harder.

The 84 year old, who portrayed 007 from 1973 to 1985, caused controversy last year by branding Craig's Quantum of Solace "a long, disjointed commercial" - but Moore insists he is a huge fan of the Layer Cake star.

Daniel Craig looks set to become the longest-running James Bond of all time after producer Michael G. Wilson revealed he'd "love" the actor to play the spy in five more films.

The star has so far signed up to three Bond movies, "Quantum of Solace," "Casino Royale" and upcoming film "Skyfall."

And now he looks set to overtake Roger Moore as the longest-running actor to play the superspy if he signs a deal to film a total of eight movies.

Roger Moore has taken aim at fellow James Bonds Sean Connery and Daniel Craig in a new interview.

The British actor, who portrayed 007 in seven films between 1973 and 1985, admits he hasn't always been a fan of the spy franchise.

He tells Varsity he thought the latest Bond film, Daniel Craig's Quantum of Solace, was "a long, disjointed commercial" and he pokes fun at his predecessor, Scottish star Connery.

Moore says, "Sean is a great actor. It's a pity I can't understand what he's saying."
