Jason Momoa Reveals How Many Movies Will Feature His Aquaman

December 8th, 2014 6:07pm EST
Jason Momoa
After months of keeping quiet about portraying DC Comics superhero Aquaman on the big screen, former "Game of Thrones" star Jason Momoa has finally opened up about the role, revealing that he's signed on to play the character in four films in Warner Bros.' DC Cinematic Universe.

Though he didn't confirm which films those are, it's a good bet they'll be four of the upcoming films that Warner Bros. announced back in October, starting with a small part in the much-hyped "Man of Steel" sequel "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which arrives in early 2016.

As of right now, nothing is set in stone – although there have been some interesting developments. What we do know is Warner Brothers has hired two writers to develop two separate scripts based on the character, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Whether or not the two scripts will become two separate movies remains to be seen; the Reporter notes it's a growin...

June 19th, 2014 1:13pm EDT
Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa isn't about to reveal if he's going to play Aquaman in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but that didn't stop Jimmy Kimmel from asking.

Momoa was on Kimmel's talk show to promote his upcoming film Road to Paloma, but the rumors surrounding the former Game of Thrones star's involvement in the huge DC superhero film were too juicy to ignore.

After showing a photo of Jason in-character as Khal Drogo in case they don't recognize him "with his shirt on," Jimmy added, "and it seems odd to me that this guy would play this guy," before showing a picture of an Aquaman ac...

Jason MOmoa
Jason Momoa accidentally broke both the hands of his scriptwriting pal David Benioff during a drinking game at the "Game Of Thrones" wrap party.

Benioff, the head writer of the hit TV fantasy drama, was celebrating the season's end during a party on location in Belfast, Ireland, when he decided to challenge actor Momoa to a hand game of strength called Mercy.

However, in his drunken stupor, Benioff miscalculated the "Conan the Barbarian" star's power and he was consequently left with two shattered hands.

Jason Momoa: 'I'm Not That Good Of An Actor'
Conan the Barbarian is a literary legend from author Robert E. Howard, but he was made famous in the movies by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The new Conan the Barbarian movie reboots the legend, with Jason Momoa in the title role. You may know him as Khal Drogo from HBO’s Game of Thrones, but Momoa joked he had no problem separating his sword and sandal warrior characters.

“No, because I'm not that good of an actor,” Momoa said. “I don't get stuck. It's not like, 'You're not Drogo! You can't go around killing people!' I did Conan first. Game of Thrones got me Conan, but I shot Conan first. Then ...

The actor admits he loves to unwind with a six-pack but he had to switch to whiskey while he was getting into shape for the new blockbuster.

He says, "I'm a big fan of alcohol... I'm a big beer fan; I drink Guinness. But, during Conan, it was scotch, because beer makes you bigger... and a couple of beers to help get the dirt and blood off."

And his Conan diet left a lot to be desired: "I had to eat boiled chicken breast every t...

Jason Momoa: 'I Didn't Want My Wife To See 'Game Of Thrones''

August 15th, 2011 2:27pm EDT
Jason Momoa
Action man Jason Momoa didn't want his wife Lisa Bonet to watch him portray a savage warrior in TV series Game Of Thrones - because his sex scenes with Emilia Clarke were often coarse and barbaric.

The towering actor played fierce Khal Drogo in the small screen adaptation of author George R. R. Martin's fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire, while British actress Clarke portrayed his pretty virgin bride.

And Momoa feared his wife, who was previously married to rocker Lenny Kravitz, would be turned off the medieval series if she saw how badly his character treated his partner during the...
