If you've wanted to see events like the Metropolitan Opera or a Q&A with Kevin Smith, Fathom Events is bringing them to your zip code.

The company facilitates the simulcasting of events to local movie theaters across the country, allowing audiences to experience concerts, shows and events that they might not otherwise get to see. Thursday night, they presented Kevin Smith: Live From Behind, a three-hour event that took place in Toronto, but fans anywhere else could ask questions of the Clerks filmmaker via Twitter.

'Project Greenlight' Film Gets September Release

The horror movie that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon picked as the winner of their third Project Greenlight reality TV series winner is to be released as a late-night frightener. John Gulager's creepy Feast won the movie-making contest last year, but has failed to land an official release date - until now.

The film, about a group of strangers battling monsters in a remote tavern, will hit cinemas across America on September 22 and 23 before a DVD release in October. The film stars punk icon Henry Rollins, Jason Mewes and George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Krista Allen.

Actor David Arquette was left red-faced at comic book convention Comic-Con in San Diego, California Friday after he lost the tape of his directorial debut there.

Recovering drug addict Jason Mewes has heaped praise on Mallrats co-star Ben Affleck for helping him when he was at an all-time low. Mewes called Affleck and asked for help when he was hooked on heroin back in 2000, and his movie star pal not only funded his recovery, he found him work.

Nicole Richie is fuming after director Kevin Smith told an audience of university students she had drunken sex in a bathroom with former drug addict actor Jason Mewes. Smith made the claim during a speech to undergraduates at the University Of Pennsylvania.
