Former Scrubs star John C. McGinley is celebrating after his wife Nichole gave birth to their second daughter this week.

The couple welcomed little Kate Aleena in Los Angeles on Thursday. She weighed in at six pounds, two ounces, according to McGinley and his wife already have a daughter, two year old Billie Grace, and the actor also has a 12-year-old son, Max, from his previous marriage to Lauren Lambert.

Scrubs star John C. McGinley is celebrating after his wife Nichole gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday. The couple plans to name the child Billie Grace, according to People magazine. Baby Billie Grace was delivered in a birthing tub at the couple's home in Malibu.

McGinley tells People, "Nichole was a mountain lion, a warrior in the birthing process. The birth was astonishing!"

The couple wed in April 2007. McGinley has a 10-year-old son, Max, from a previous relationship.

'Scrubs' Star In Child Payment Battle

Scrubs star John C. McGinley has landed in a legal battle with his ex-wife, after withholding child support payments because of the writer's strike. McGinley is obliged to pay Lauren Lambert - who he divorced in 2001 - $9,000 a month to look after their 10-year-old son Max, who suffers from Down's Syndrome.

The actor, who plays Dr. Cox in Scrubs, stopped the payments earlier this month, claiming it isn't fair for him to have to make full payments while the show isn't in production.

Scrubs star John C. McGinley has announced he and wife Nicole Kessler are expecting a baby girl in the new year. The 48-year-old, who has a 10-year-old son Max from a previous marriage, made the announcement at the launch of Scrubs' seventh season in Hollywood on Wednesday.

He says, "We found out it's a baby girl, and she's coming February 2! So that's our big announcement. We want to have as many kids as we're lucky enough to have. I've always wanted to surround Max with brothers and sisters and that's what we're going to do!"

McGinley married Kessler in April.

Scrubs star Christa Miller and her husband Bill Lawrence welcomed their third child on Sunday. Henry Vanduzer Lawrence arrived at 12:05 a.m. in Los Angeles. The couple's publicist tells publication People, "Everyone is doing great."

Miller, 42, plays Jordan Sullivan, the combative wife of Dr. Perry Cox, played by John C. McGinley on the show, which Lawrence created. A former model, she also played Kate O'Brien on The Drew Carey Show from 1995-2002.

The couple are also parents to daughter Charlotte, six, and son William, three.

Scrubs star John C. McGinley is engaged after proposing to his yoga teacher girlfriend Nicole Kessler on Saturday in Malibu, California. McGinley, who plays Dr. Perry Cox in the Emmy-nominated show, popped the question in the couple's seaside garden.

He tells People, "At about 9.30 am I asked Nicole to come down to the lower part of the garden with me in Malibu. I wanted to show her some different flower ideas I had. And I had the rock in my pocket. I told her, 'Sit down here to see the view of the ocean' and I said, 'Will you marry me?' and I took out the rock."
