Jesse Abraham Arthur McCartney (born April 9, 1987) is a singer-songwriter, actor, and voice actor. McCartney rose to fame in the early 2000s as member of the boy band Dream Street. He branched into a solo career, having appeared in the television series "Summerland" and as a recurring character in the ABC Family series "Greek." He was nominated for a Grammy for co-writing the song "Bleeding Love."

McCartney released his first solo E, “JMac” in July 2003. The album featured three songs: "Beautiful Soul," "Why Don't You Kiss Her"and “Don’t You.”

In 2004, he performed a duet with Anne Hathaway, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," which was featured on the “Ella Enchanted” soundtrack.

McCartney's debut solo album, "Beautiful Soul," which was two years in the making, was released in September 2004. "Beautiful Soul" reached #15 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The album has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The first single was the titled track, which peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. “She's No You,” “Because You Live” and “Get Your Shine On” were also released as singles.

"Right Where You Want Me" his sophomore album, released by Hollywood Records in September 2006, reached #14 on the Billboard 200. The title track, and first single, reached #33 on the Hot 100.

McCartney released his third album, "Departure," in May 2008. The album has reached #14 on the Billboard 200. The album's lead single "Leavin'" was released in March 2008, and reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, giving McCartney his highest-charting single to date.
