African-American actor and comedian Duane Martin was born on January 1, 1970, in Hollywood, California. After a short NBA career with the New York Knicks, Duane made his first television appearance in the short-lived NBC comedy series "Out All Night." He had small parts on the TV shows "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Living Single" and "Getting Personal," but he is best known as TV reporter Robert James on the CW series "All Of Us." Duane also had starring roles in the sports movies "White Men Can't Jump," "Above The Rim" and "Any Given Sunday," as well as the films "Down Periscope" and "Deliver Us From Eva." Duane is best friends with actor Will Smith, and he married actress Tisha Campbell on Aug. 17, 1996, and they have a son, Xen. Duane is also the successful owner of the sports agency Impact Sports.
