Kanye West a 'nuisance' on Anchorman 2 set

December 13th, 2013 4:20am EST
Kanye West
Kanye West was a "nuisance" on the 'Anchorman 2' set.
The 'New Slaves' rapper allegedly caused a scene while shooting his cameo appearance in the cult comedy sequel, playing his own songs at full volume and leaving a teenage intern quaking in his boots when he was tasked with asking Kanye to turn the sound down.
Speaking on an episode of chat show, 'The Jonathan Ross Show', which will air tonight (13.12.13) on ITV, 'Anchorman 2' star Will Ferrell said: "It was very surreal to have Kanye - who's such a big fan of comedy - in our movie hanging out for two days. He was playing the new tracks a...

James Marsden is puzzled by venerable rumors suggesting he is the mystery father of January Jones' baby, dismissing the speculation as "stupid talk".

The blonde beauty has kept her son Xander's paternity a secret since falling pregnant in 2011, but reports linking the two X-Men alumni have continued to circulate, much to Marsden's annoyance.

In a new interview with Playboy magazine, he says, "There's so much stupid talk out there. I think that came from somebody thinking we were both in X-Men, so it must be true."

Nonetheless, Marsden admits the two stars have learned to laugh about t...

Straw Dogs
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin Schwartz - You are a Hollywood screenwriter. You have a hot wife and a hot Jag. You move to your wife's hometown in the Deep South after her father's death. It's filled with God fearing, Bambi killing, football addicted, good ole Southern boys. Do you really think you'll live happily ever after?

David Sumner (James Marsden) and his actress wife Amy (Kate Bosworth) move to her father's house so David can get some quiet and solitude to complete the World War 2 screenplay he's working on. But all is not as bucolic as it seems in Blackwater, Mississippi.....

Faithful readers, I apologize that we didn’t have a Trailer Talk column last week. I just moved into a wonderful new apartment and got pretty wrapped up in the packing/unpacking process. Now that I’m settled though, we’re back to business as usual.

I watched Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion” last week, which I really enjoyed. It’s an infectious whodunit with fantastic casting, eerie electronic music that effectively builds tension, and solid character development. My Grade: A

So far it's been a wild parade of stars lining up for their chance to poke, prod, and eyeball-doink each other to hilarious effect in Peter and Bobby Farrelly's spiffy new rendition of "The Three Stooges." Everyone from Sean Penn to Johnny Knoxville has been in the running so far, and we'll wager even Lindsay Lohan had an audition as Moe at one point.

The Farrellys have noted in the past their intent to cast one person first and then build the rest of the trio of Moe, Larry, and Curly around that individual. Now, in a glorious case of casting to-type, Canadian cueball Will Sasso seems to b...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Source Code,' 'Insidious' & More

Source Code
Given the strength of director Zack Snyder’s previous films “300” and “Watchmen,” his first original work “Sucker Punch” is a surprising disappointment. From a visual standpoint the movie is rock solid, with excellent art direction and an intense soundtrack to buttress it.

However Snyder claims that one of the story’s major goals is to comment on the objectification of women, which frankly it fails at in major ways. If you have not done so already, check out further thoughts in my review of “Sucker Punch.”

Former 'X-Men's' Kids Are Not Impressed By James Marsden's Hero Roles

James Marsden played Cyclops in X-Men, the mutant who shoots laser out of his eyes. That didn’t earn him any cred with his older child. Maybe he can impress his youngest as the voice of the dog in Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.

“They’re sort of over it now,” Marsden said. “The whole thing’s been demystified for them. I have a four-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. What’s really interesting is when my son was about that age, I got excited because I thought, ‘Oh, they’re going to get to see their dad in this film. This weekend Cameron Diaz and James Marsden star in the suspense thriller "The Box," but what not many people know is that the movie is based on an episode of "The Twilight Zone." It was originally taken from a short story written by Richard Matheson, and the movie might follow the TV episode or the original Matheson script; you'll just have to see the movie to find out. Still, it started us thinking on "The Twilight Zone" and how some of the most memorable episodes could surely be lengthened into full length features.
