Frederic March was the winner of of Two Academy Awards, and likely his greatest performance is in William Wyler's masterpiece "The Best Years of Our Lives" recounting the return of War Veterans after World War II

Frederic March was a star of Broadway as well as Film and worked with many a great professional such as Spencer Tracy, Ava Gardner, Burt Lancaster, Barbara Stanwyck,Gary Cooper, Claudette Colbert, Myrna Loy, Jennifer Jones, Gregory Peck, William Holden, Merle Oberon, Norma Shearer, Veronica Lake, Ben Gazzara and a young Susan Hayward: Years later he would favororably comment on Miss Hayward whom he first knew when she was young contract player at Paramount: "Every Inch of That Woman is an Actress".

March was also a romantic leading man in "Anna Karennina" with Greta Garbo, "Mary of Scotland" with Katharine Hepburn and in a wonderful love story with a then young actress, the beautiful and talented Kim Novak in "Middle Of The Night"

Frederic March worked with some of the great Directors of Hollywood: William Wyler, Cecil B. DeMille William Wellman, George Cukor, John Ford, Stanley Kramer, Mark Robson, etc.

Versatile in Comedy as well as drama, Frederic March made 'Norhing Sacred' for David O Selznick with the legendary actress Carole Lombard, wife of Clark Gable who died tragically young.

One of Frderic March's last roles was a in Stanley Kramer's film "Inherit The Wind" where he co starred with another acting legend Spencer Tracy
