15 Unquestionably Creepy Celebrities
Some celebrities are so gloriously good at what they do, even if they don't look particularly disturbing they are really, really creepy.

Christopher Walken has cemented himself as one of the creepiest actors of all time. Maybe it's his pale skin. Maybe it's his giant forehead. Of course, many of the roles he's played have contributed to the creep factor ("The Dead Zone," "A View To A Kill," "At Close Range," "The Prophecy," etc.).

Disturbing fact: Walken was a guest on the yacht of his "Brainstorm" co-car Natalie Wood and her husband, Robert Wagner, when the actress fell overboard and die...

June 5th, 2013 10:18am EDT
Warm Bodies
A filmmaker with a knack for creating very memorable work so far, Director Jonathan Levine has managed to carve out a name for himself with merely a handful of stellar films.  One of his first, the five-star Amber Heard starring horror outing "All The Boys Love Mandy Lane," was hailed by critics (myself included!) as a real unique stamp on a familiar genre.  He followed it up with the very touching coming of age drama called "The Wackness" and finally topped it off with the comedy/drama balancing act "50/50" with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen.  His latest is no less original, taking t...

Review: 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon' Repeats A Tired Formula

July 2nd, 2011 10:45am EDT
Transformers 3
If we’re lucky, Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is the last film in his series. His bloated, 154 minute mess, borders on beating a dead…robot…in disguise… (Sorry, had to go there).

Does the third “Transformers” movie advance the story for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his robotic friends? Yes. But does it do so in a fresh and engaging way? No.

“Dark of the Moon” repeats the same tired formula as its predecessors: poorly written dialogue, superficial female eye candy, and needlessly dangerous heroics.

Bay starts “Dark of the Moon” on the planet Cybertron, the home ...

The graphic novel-turned-film “Red,” about a group of retired assassins forced back into action draws to mind the idiom “age before beauty.” This saying for those unfamiliar, asserts that younger people should pay deference to their elders, because of their more extensive experience. It’s their knowledge and ability to think ahead that allows the old timers in “Red” to kick ass, and the chemistry of a fantastic cast that makes the movie so entertaining.

Comic book movies have really taken over the past few years, and it has encouraged writers to go looking for any character or graphic novel that hadn't yet been adapted to the screen. That must be the reason that Jonah Hex ever saw the light of day, because this dark and disjointed DC Comics character really does not seem like the best choice for a movie adaptation. He's horrifically scarred, cynical and bad tempered, and how many years has it been since a western really did well at the box office? The movie set was fraught with trouble, and it is already getting incredibly low scores from ...

What is surprising, however, is the appearance of indie stalwart and critically acclaimed actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the role of Cobra Commander. It's not the kind of fare he's normally associated with, but he isn't the first good actor to show up in a bad, bad film.

Why does this happen? There are myriad reasons, but these are the most popular:
