Comedian George Lopez has revealed he has quit alcohol for good after his drunken arrest last month (27Feb14).

The 52 year old was taken into custody for public intoxication in Ontario, Canada after security officials at the Caesars Windsor resort found him passed out on the floor of their casino.

Lopez was released hours later after sobering up and no charges were filed, but the incident was a wake up call for the funnyman, who confessed to U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on her show on Thursday (13Mar14) that he will never be in a similar situation again.

George Lopez passed out on the floor of a Canadian casino and was arrested for public intoxication on Thursday.

Security guards called police to Caesars Windsor in Ontario, who arrested the actor/comedian inside one of the casino’s bars.

A spokesperson for the police department confirmed to People magazine that a male was taken into custody at 11:25 p.m. and was “released with no charges.”

Funnyman George Lopez's late night talk show has been canceled after two seasons.

The comedian/actor's Lopez Tonight launched on cable channel TBS in 2009 and became an instant cult hit, but ratings fell drastically after the show was bumped back an hour to 11pm to make way for Conan O'Brien's nightly program last year.

The last Lopez Tonight will air on Thursday, according to USA Today.

Sony executives randomly chose Juzcar, near Malaga, as the site of the upcoming premiere and locals agreed to let them color the village blue.
