“Drinking Buddies” Is An Honest Look At Relationships, Friendships, & Love

August 27th, 2013 2:51am EDT
Drinking Buddies
Fair warning, there are spoilers in this review.

This movie had me at Anna Kendrick. No seriously, “Drinking Buddies” had me there. What can I say, I’m a simple fellow. I knew I wanted to watch it just from that alone. I know that everyone gets all excited about Olivia Wilde, but I’m an Anna Kendrick fan, it stems back to “Up In the Air.” She’s just got that nerdy quality that makes her seem like anyone could just chill, have a beer with her and watch Star Wars. Speaking of beer. I like beer. Beer is good. Caveman like beer. The whole movie revolves around it, which  is probably an excu...

Ron Livingston Brings Back Keyboard Cat (Video)

July 27th, 2010 10:38am EDT
Ron Livingston Keyboard Cat
And now for something completely different. For no particular reason, Ron Livingston posted a YouTube video of himself doing his best Keyboard Cat impression using a cat ear hair band and cat arms.

Starpulse.com doubts a Keyboard Cat movie is in the making, as awesome as that would be, so perhaps Ron promised someone he would "play them off." Or had too much free time.

The video is the only one published on Ron Livingston's YouTube account, and has already been viewed over 200,000 times since it was uploaded in June.

Ron Livingston Crashes Carell And Rudd's 'Dinner For Schmucks'

April 17th, 2010 10:00am EDT
Ron Livingston
Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis star in this summer’s comedy Dinner for Schmucks. That’s enough funny for three movies, so their costar knows his place. Ron Livingston sees his job as setting up the comedians.

“I am one of the hosts of the dinner,” Livingston said. “I sort of play a douchebag antagonist who’s got it out for Paul Rudd. I’m not actually the boss. I’m sort of one of his evil minions.”

When the heavy hitting comedians start riffing, Livingston just sits back and lets it happen. “Honestly, I do what I can. I’m not really an improv guy by trade. When you get guys ...

Hollywood Celebrated Tax Day With Government Approved Sex & Prostitutes

April 16th, 2010 10:15am EDT
Sex Tax
Hollywood sure knows how to celebrate the day your taxes are due. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosted the premiere of the comedy Sex Tax on April 15. The independent film tells the true story of the IRS takeover of Nevada’s Mustang Ranch.

Dana Green plays Mustang Ranch madame Di. “In a really sweet way, it is what it says it’s about but provocative might not necessarily be the right word,” she said. “I do get to dress up nice and pretty in not very much clothing. It was fun. It was a different kind of experience for me having done a lot of Shakespearean roles. This was a...

Review: 'The Time Traveler's Wife'

August 14th, 2009 10:15am EDT
The Time Traveler
Full disclosure: This review is written from the point of view of someone who has not read the wildly successful book by Audrey Niffenegger. It's unknown that if that statement were the opposite if it would have enhanced the experience -- filling in backstory where it's badly needed -- or degrade the film when compared directly to the popular written story. In truth, it shouldn't matter; but, for many ... oh, it certainly will.

The film starts out with a young Henry lamenting, while riding the rear of his mother's car, that he does not have the ability to sing as beautifully as his mothe...

Separated At Birth? Stars Who Look Like Other Stars

August 1st, 2008 8:45am EDT
Idina Menzel & Penelope Cruz
Ever hear the theory that everyone has a twin? Some believe that each and every person has a double somewhere on Earth. Whether that theory is true is debatable. However, it's uncanny how some celebrities resemble each other. Sometimes it's an obvious trait: similar hairstyle, body type or facial features. Other times it's more subtle: similar roles or names.

Whatever the reason, the following stars have something about them that makes them look like another famous somebody. And that's not always a good thing.

1.) Perhaps it's the enormous beer gut that makes this trio seem r...
