November 9th, 2013 10:30am EST
Justin Lin
The man behind the thrills and spills in the "Fast & Furious" movies has been handed another major film franchise - he'll take over Universal's Bourne finale.

Justin Lin, who has directed the last four "Fast & Furious" movies, will take charge of the follow-up to last year's "The Bourne Legacy," which starred Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross.

Lin recently quit the seventh "Fast & Furious" movie due to the project's accelerated schedule.

Movie insiders believe Lin's Bourne film will be the franchise's last. Matt Damon starred as Jason Bourne in the series' first three films, "The Bourne Ident...

Director Justin Lin Turns Down 'Die Hard 5'

August 12th, 2011 1:15pm EDT
Justin Lin
Director Justin Lin has turned down a fifth Die Hard movie - so he can plot Arnold Schwarzenegger's comeback in the next Terminator film instead.

The filmmaker was asked to make another Die Hard sequel, which focuses on Bruce Willis' maverick cop John McClane, but he declined.

He explains, "For many of the projects, I feel very privileged, but I just know it wasn't the right situation. And the first Die Hard changed me as a kid when I watched it. But Die Hard 5 is just not something that I'm going to do, or I'm interested in."

However Lin, who is in demand in Hollywood following the b...

Review: Lin's 'Fast Five' Is Furiously Long

April 29th, 2011 11:00am EDT
Fast Five
When you hear that the runtime for “Fast Five” is 130 minutes, you’ll probably wonder why a mere 90, is not enough to unravel the fifth “Fast and the Furious” yarn. Ultimately, the reason is that the filmmakers tell an overly complex tale, in an effort to milk the actors, the chase sequences, and even the series itself for all they are worth.

Picking up where the fourth film left off, “Fast Five” starts with flashbacks to the sentencing of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his transportation to captivity. En route, his pal Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster)...

'Fast Five' An Engine-Roaring Success

April 29th, 2011 6:29am EDT
Fast Five
Ten years and still going strong -- Fast Five cements the staying power of the Fast and the Furious series.

2009's Fast & Furious was the real sequel that The Fast and the Furious deserved, and Fast Five is an equally remarkable follow-up to that film, picking up from the final minutes of Fast & Furious and charging forward. This new entry has all the hallmarks that fans have come to expect from the series: great cars, terrific driving, beautiful women, and a definite adrenaline rush. Most importantly, although it's an action flick, it's one that's got character, putting it head and ...

Review: 'Fast Five' 'Two Jews On Film' Drive In Different Directions With The Latest In This Franchise (Video)

April 28th, 2011 12:18pm EDT
Fast Five
'Fast Five' directed by Justin Lin is number Five in the 'Fast and the Furious' franchise.

The film continues where 'Fast and Furious' left off...Dominic (Vin Diesel) is sentenced to twenty five years in prison for murder. Of course, his good friend and ex cop, Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and Dom's sister, Mia (Jordana Brewster) have different plans for him...

Let's just say this involves a really big bus crash, super fast cars, some kick ass driving that ends with Dom, Brian and Mia escaping to the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro.

Unfortunately it's not all 'fun in the sun' for our tr...

Arnold Will Be Back As The 'Terminator'?

April 27th, 2011 11:08am EDT

Loooooooooooooong ago in 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator famously promised, with great cyborgosity, "I'll be back." The line became a cultural touchstone, then a promise fulfilled with "T2" and "T3" and "T4"(cameo), then just something he said in all his movies, something he said to get re-elected as Governor, now presumably something he constantly says to his dry cleaner to mild, humoring laughter.

Now, in one of the great victories for the AARP set, the 63-year-old Schwarzenegger will be back again to wreak havoc in a black leather jacket and shades, which he'll steal off some go...
