October 2nd, 2010 7:46pm EDT
Tony Curtis
Tony Curtis once required emergency treatment from a doctor after one of his love interests ripped off a wig which the star had glued to his head.

The "Some Like It Hot" legend passed away on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest, and his London-based hairdresser, Leonard Lewis, admits he'll always remember the veteran actor fondly.

And one visit from Curtis was particularly memorable for Lewis.

He recalls, "Knowing that his current young squeeze was keen on gripping his hair at moments of intense passion, Tony had decided to stick the wig on with Super Glue rather than tell her the...

Overrated & Underrated Oscar Winners For Best Picture

February 16th, 2009 9:00am EST
Gladiator
Saying a Best Picture winner is overrated is quite simple. If you think a movie is terrible and it won Best Picture ipso facto it is overrated. But what about an underrated Best Picture winner?

By definition, it should be impossible for a Best Picture winner to be underrated. Why? Because they already won - so their greatness is recognized. It's like having an underrated Hall-of-Famer or underrated Adult Film Award Winner, it should be impossible.

That simply isn't true, however. There are several Best Picture winners that have been completely forgotten over the years, many...

Daniel Day-Lewis
There are many talented people in Hollywood who have won a coveted Oscar, and there are so many talented winners that it's difficult to just name a few.

Daniel Day-Lewis is known as one of the most selective actors in the industry; he's starred in only four movies in the last 10 years. Whenever Day-Lewis has a movie being released, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences stands up and takes notice. He's won two Academy Awards for Best Actor: His first was in 1989 for his role as Christy Brown in "My Left Foot" and the other in 2007 for his work as Daniel Plainview in "There Wil...

What To Do On Christmas Day... How About Going To The Movies?

December 14th, 2007 10:32am EST
The Bucket List
For some families, there is no greater holiday tradition than Christmas day at the movies. Perhaps they like to enjoy an activity that, due to everyone's busy schedule during the rest of the year, is not as regular an occurrence as they wish. For some, they probably cannot think of another activity that provides something for everyone.

And then, there are those families who are looking for a dark room to pass some of the agonizing together time that is annually forced upon them. For many, it is likely a combination of the three.

At any rate, Tinseltown is well aware of this tr...
