Sophia Bush & On-Screen Husband Split In Real Life

2/16/2012 9:14am EST
Sophia Bush
Sophia Bush has split from her "One Tree Hill" co-star and on-screen husband Austin Nichols.

The couple recently ended its on/off relationship after six years of dating.

A source tells, "She's moving on... because she didn't think he was The One."

Bush was previously married to fellow co-star Chad Michael Murray in 2005, while she also romanced another castmate, actor James Lafferty.

Nichols broke off his engagement to artist Claire Oswalt in 2004 following a seven-year courtship.

'One Tree Hill' Season Finale

5/21/2009 4:23pm EDT
One Tree Hill
The season-six finale of "One Tree Hill" aired last Monday night and featured an end to an era. Chad Michael Murray ("Lucas") and Hilarie Burton ("Peyton") recently confirmed they would not be returning next season. Could this be it for the show? Will the producers decide to cancel next season? Despite the disappointment, the writers at least gave each of the cast of characters a positive spin in the end.

Brooke's lack of relationship with her mother continued, as Victoria failed to give Brooke Julian's previous message. As the episode neared the end, her Victoria made a surprising...

'One Tree Hill': Wedding Blues

5/13/2009 10:12am EDT
One Tree Hill
As "One Tree Hill" sadly winds down its season, there's nothing like a wedding to spice up the atmosphere. While this has not been their best season by far, it's always disappointing to have to endure another long hiatus before the ensuing premiere. As promised, the results from last week's predictions are in! See where I was spot on and where I went completely wrong! Were your predictions correct?

Brooke Davis

Last Week's Prediction: Last week, I believed Peyton would be the heroine and call up Julian to invite him to the wedding, but I was wrong. The hero-to-be ended up bein...

'One Tree Hill': Future Predictions

5/6/2009 9:30am EDT
One Tree Hill
In light of the exciting, yet surprising turnout of this year's Kentucky Derby, it would suffice to make a few of my own predictions. While many may focus on the past and present, it's time to look from instead the present to the future. This week's airing of "One Tree Hill" provided us with the usual lackluster performances from this season's Tree Hill bunch. Based on current storylines and upcoming previews, check out this season's final predictions by yours truly! Let's see how correct (or wrong) these turn out to be! What are your predictions?

'One Tree Hill' Mother Of All Dreams

4/28/2009 4:49pm EDT
One Tree Hill
With only several episodes left in the season, "One Tree Hill" focused on the same storylines with small twists to spark some drama. It's pretty obvious at this point that fans will witness Peyton's life in danger in three weeks. Until then, fans must turn to despondent Brooke, determined Nathan and concerned Lucas to spice up the show.

Since Vampire Victoria's most recent cameo, fans have been treated to Bitter Brook. Along with Sam and Victoria's budding relationship came Brooke's rancid attitude. Jealous, hurt and livid, Brooke continued to spew her candid, yet insulting commen...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: 'Letting Go'

4/1/2009 10:11am EDT
One Tree Hill
A fiction-based show is usually given a title to represent the theme of that week's episode. It can be metaphorical, symbolic or simply literal. Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" featured a label entitled "Letting Go." But which storyline or scenario could this have referred to?

Despite fears of the impending baby and Peyton's health, Lucas treated Jamie and Nathan to a day at Keith's old body shop. Now owned and remolded by a different company, it was sad to see the place devoid of Keith and his original auto body shop name. While Jamie bounced excitedly around the shop...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Game Over

3/25/2009 9:06am EDT
One Tree Hill
When one thinks of the word "over," what comes to mind? Maybe a parent who's celebrating an "Over the Hill" birthday, a friend who finally was able to overcome an obstacle, a leadership position that reigns over someone or maybe that delicious apple turnover you had this morning.

On Monday night's episode of One Tree Hill, the community of Tree Hill found themselves closing chapters to parts of their lives that left dramatic imprints in their hearts and that held such importance and meaning in their world. Once it all came crashing down, the game was over for many.

After months...

'One Tree Hill' Serves Up A Lame Duck

3/20/2009 9:56am EDT
One Tree Hill
After nearly a two-month hiatus (who else is tired of the random breaks this show takes?), "One Tree Hill" graced our television screens once again. Just in time for an early St. Patrick's Day celebration, the second half of the season gave no reason to raise our glasses in a toast.

Lame. Expecting the show to begin with a few of its typical "get more bang for your buck" moments, I was horrified to find myself actually semi-bored! Too much time was spent on Lucas and Peyton's baby situation. While I think it's extremely sad this couple has yet another problem to trudge through, i...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Past, Present &...Future?

2/5/2009 9:27am EST
One Tree Hill
It's almost hard to believe more than four years has passed since our favorite Tree Hill days. Those days introduced us to the passion of Brooke, the heartache of Peyton and the love of Lucas. They filled our voids with excitement and allowed us a way to escape to another dimension -- well maybe not another dimension, but Tree Hill, North Carolina worked just fine.

Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" launched the ever-anticipated auditions for Lucas' movie, An Unkindness of Ravens. With Reese now on board as Director, all that was left to do was cast the right characters to po...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Stale Storylines

1/21/2009 10:15am EST
One Tree Hill
Not long after the Brooke-beater dramatic arrest, the following "One Tree Hill" storylines seem to have something more in common with two-week old bread than elapsed time: a stale taste.

Stale story #1: Mia and Chase's Relationship.

I admit, I like this new couple as much as the rest of us, but honestly, where did it come from? Chase decides to help out Owen at Tric by picking up his shift, only to find out he has no bartending experience. Why would Mia, an underage musician, know anything about making a Long Island Ice Tea? Sure, she's probably had a few drinks here and t...

'One Tree Hill': A Hand To Take Hold Of The Scene

1/13/2009 10:12am EST
One Tree Hill
Last night's "One Tree Hill" may not have been the second installment of serial killer drama, but it did feature candid moments at their finest. The second episode of the New Year drew upon three exciting confessions from three very different people. Peyton reveals her pregnancy to her best friend, Julian confesses his feelings and Millie faces the consequences because of her drunk actions.

Here's a complete breakdown of last night's episode:

A quick recap of last week's episode flashes before our eyes. A mini-thriller that evolved into a happy ending summarizes what we...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: A-Parent Danger

1/7/2009 10:01am EST
One Tree Hill
During "One Tree Hill's" month long holiday hiatus, fans were kept in the dark about the fate of several characters. Peyton feared she had cancer, Sam ran away from home, Nathan had no basketball job and Millie was about to lose her virginity - but not to Mouth. Could all of these scenarios be true, or would they be just another dramatic ruse instigated by the OTH writers to keep us on the edge of our seats?

Monday night's debut episode of the New Year opened to a sobbing Peyton on the phone with Lucas. After several insinuations that she had cancer, Peyton broke the news to her fia...

'One Tree Hill': A 1940's Swing

11/20/2008 8:43am EST
One Tree Hill
Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" may not have fit into the context of the current storyline, but it definitely provided fans with a glimpse into the writing style of Chad Michael Murray. Whether or not fans loved it or not, the 67-year-old flash to the past introduced avid OTH fans to another world devoid of the usual drama and old antics seen each week. The unique spin on familiar characters and their lives arrived as a welcomed change to break up the familiar pace fans had been used to for several years.

As Casablanca streamed from his TV, Lucas Scott worked on writing hi...

'One Tree Hill' Features A USO Show, More

11/13/2008 8:58am EST
One Tree Hill
A typical episode of "One Tree Hill" contains elements of humor, grief and joy all combining to create the storyline fans have grown to love for nearly six seasons. Just in time for Veteran's Day, Monday night's episode featured a spectacular USO show in memory of those who have fought in war as well as those who continue to protect our nation to this day.

Since Peyton and her marine brother, Derek, were both deceived by their father, Peyton took it upon herself to commemorate veterans by hosting a USO show at the Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina. F...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: The Devil's Territory

11/5/2008 9:32am EST
One Tree Hill
How many antagonists can a storyline have in a one-hour show? Monday night's continuation of "One Tree Hill" starred several enemies from the past. One of Peyton Sawyer's former flames came back to haunt her, while Lucas Scott continued to struggle with the motive behind Dan Scott's murder. Can people change for the better, or will they always be a devil in disguise?

After meeting Julian Morris last week, Lucas received the golden opportunity to write his own screenplay for his novel, An Unkindness of Ravens. His struggle to write Keith's murder scene led him to ponder the motive b...

'One Tree Hill': Life As A Movie

10/29/2008 10:21am EDT
One Tree Hill
In the opening scenes of this week's "One Tree Hill," Haley and Jamie Scott sit amongst their friends as they watch Nathan Scott tackle his first game of Slamball as an official player. The rough play calls and constant fighting has Haley cringing at every second possible, praying her husband makes it to the end of the game in one piece. Meanwhile, Little Jamie and Sam meet for the first time and develop a unique connection, as Jamie fills her in on some of Tree Hill's past and current love triangles. Or as he stated, who "kissed" who last. Adorable.

Outside of the Slamball court...

'One Tree Hill' Recap: Tree Hill Copes with Grief

9/16/2008 9:05am EDT
One Tree Hill
As it had for the past year, "One Tree Hill" opened with no theme song or character introductions. This time, as sadness lingered in the air, the episode revealed each character's first reactions as they learned about Quentin Fields' (Robbie Jones) tragic death. Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Skills (Antwon Tanner) paired up together to break the news to the Ravens basketball team, while Haley Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) confronted husband, Nathan (James Lafferty), on the familiar court he used to practice drills on with Quentin. When his basketball fell to the ground, so did everyon...

One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill will air its 100th episode next Tuesday, March 18. It includes a major twist at the end for Lucas and Nathan.

On the very special 100th episode of “One Tree Hill,” it’s Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Lindsey’s (guest star Michaela McManus) wedding day and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) must choose whether to intervene or lose her true love forever.

Nathan (James Lafferty) uses the occasion to attempt a reconciliation with Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), and the recently paroled Dan (guest star Paul Johansson) shows up for the family reunion.

The Grown-Up Side Of 'One Tree Hill'

2/20/2008 10:46am EST
One Tree Hill
Every Tuesday night thousands of us sit in front of the TV set and watch our favorite characters on "One Tree Hill" grow into young adults. The once immature, free-spirited characters (who never seemed to have any responsibilities at school or work), have now evolved into successful people looking for the happiness they once knew.

Creator Mark Schwahn was smart enough to continue the drama but clever enough to incorporate reality into this season's storyline. This week's episode of OTH proved whether the characters truly matured into better and smarter people or found themselves se...

'One Tree Hill' Flirts With Life Cards

2/13/2008 11:43am EST
One Tree Hill
Danger. Passion. Reality. All of these aspects formed the core ingredients in this week's episode of "One Tree Hill." Over the course of the show's five-year existence, the writers have infused various themes into their storylines in order to stir up emotion within their audience.

These dramatic plots pull us in like a caffeinated drug. This week's episode focused on the flirtation style commonly utilized among characters such as Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) and currently, Nanny Carrie (Torrey DeVitto). But what is it about flirting that draws people in? How many ways can one fl...

'One Tree Hill's' Nightmares Focus on Fears

2/7/2008 8:48am EST
One Tree Hill
They are scary, nerve-racking and sometimes downright horrifying. Nightmares - we all have them. cites a nightmare as "a terrifying dream in which the dreamer experiences feelings of helplessness, extreme anxiety, sorrow, etc." Last night's "One Tree Hill" episode depicted several characters witnessing their fears in the form of a nightmare.

But what is the underlying truth about nightmares that makes us so afraid of them? Is it the mere fact that they make us confront our biggest fears? Or is it the idea that if this were actually reality, our lives would be compl...

Kevin Federline Starts 'One Tree Hill' Stint Next Week

1/12/2008 8:29am EST
Kevin Federline
Kevin Federline is appearing in a three-episode arc on "One Tree Hill" starting next Tuesday, January 15, as a struggling musician that Peyton (Hilarie Burton) discovers.

“My Way Home Is Through You” (Jan. 15)

Kevin Federline guest stars as a problematic musician — Lucas’ (Chad Michael Murray) editor (guest star Michaela McManus) wonders about the timing of his recent creative inspiration. Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) make business plans, while Mouth (Lee Norris) tries to win points with his boss Alice (guest star Kelly Collins Lintz”). Lucas and Skills (Ant...
