Biography:
King began to shift to character roles, playing Valerie Bertinelli's wealthy father in the 1987 CBS miniseries "I'll Take Manhattan" and later the complex Peter Pulitzer in NBC's "Roxanne: The Prize Pulitzer" (1989).
