Val Kilmer Addresses Health Rumors, Says He's In The Hospital Fo
Actor Val Kilmer, who was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital last week, has taken to his Facebook page to dispel rumors that he's suffering from a throat tumor.

The actor was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center after he reportedly began bleeding in his throat, and doctors performed surgery and tested him for a possible tumor.

Of course, none of this is true other than that Kilmer had been taken to the medical center for what he says was a "complication."

"Thank you for all your sweet support," he wrote early Saturday morning. "But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any opera...

15 Celebrities Who Haven't Aged Well

15 Celebrities Who Haven't Aged Well
Everyone grows older, but some people do it better than others. Partying too hard, gaining weight, and genetics often contribute to what a person looks like as they age.

Some age very well (Christie Brinkley, we're talking to you) - others not so much.

Ten years ago Lindsay Lohan was a beautiful 18-year-old with a promising career ahead of her. An addiction to drugs and alcohol changed all that. She lost a large amount of weight, dyed her hair blonde, dyed it back to red, caused trouble on set, and went to rehab on several occasions.

Lohan's abusive lifestyle has definitely affected her...

Glory Days - 10 Celebs Who Just Stopped Caring

January 1st, 2014 1:01pm EST
Glory Days - 10 Celebs Who Just Stopped Caring
Celebrities are always under the microscope. Looking beautiful is part of their job. The media seemingly takes great joy in exploiting every bad angle they can, sometimes down to the point of berating celebrities based off the worst possible paparazzi snapshots.

While we don't endorse that, there are exceptions. Sometimes, when stars stay out of the limelight for extended amounts of time, they don't do all the necessary upkeep that they do when they are constantly in the public eye.

Sometimes, it gets a little out of control. Occasionally, it looks almost as if they just decided to stop c...

July 10th, 2012 8:51am EDT
Christian Bale
A Batman costume fitting nearly ended in a panic attack for Christian Bale during his first audition for the movie franchise.

While promoting his new film "The Dark Knight Rises," which hits theaters on July 20, Bale admitted the dress rehearsal did not go well and he had to talk himself into getting used to the costume.

"I think the very first time I put on the suit it was at the audition. It was Val Kilmer's (costume from 1995's "Batman Forever") so it didn't fit very well and the claustrophobia was just unbelievable," he told Parade magazine.

"I stood there and I thought, 'I can't bre...

'5 Days of War' Is More Like A 2 Hour Guilt Trip.

September 1st, 2011 11:44am EDT
Five Days of War
5 Days of War wants to be Shindler's List so bad it hurts. No really. It hurts. I legitimately got whiplash from throwing my head back in my chair in frustration over just how emotionally manipulative this movie was. From the word go we have Steven Spielberg's classic to thank for the following scenes in 5 Days of War:

Appropriately ethnic music playing over scenes of horrible destruction that occur during a grand family celebration. A heated tête-à-tête between a civilian and a millitary commander. A post credits memorial scene in which tearful families list of names of relatives lost in ...

According to, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a $498,165 lien against Kilmer on November 30 in New Mexico, where he owns a multi-million dollar ranch he put up for sale last year.

Kilmer's publicist has failed to respond to requests for a comment.

The actress, who played Tom Cruise's love interest in the hit 1986 movie, came out last year and went public with her love for sales executive Melanie Leis.

The couple met in 2000, when the actress hired Leis as a bartender at her Florida restaurant, and the pair exchanged vows in a small courthouse ceremony in New Jersey on Wednesday.

Celebs Who Should Avoid Celebrating National Junk Food Day

July 21st, 2010 8:16am EDT
Val Kilmer
July 21 is "National Junk Food Day." It's a day to commemorate Little Debbies, Tasty Cakes, and Ho Hos. It's a day we don't have to feel guilty for shoving our faces with Fritos, Doritos, and Cheetos.

In the world of celebrity gossip, it is also a day to point out some stars who have been in the spotlight due to their weight issues (like Val Kilmer above).

Jessica Simpson is no stranger to the tabloids following her every move and pointing out a tiny little roll here or a section of cellulite there. She was recently placed on the "List of Fat Celebrities" on the NY Post website and has be...

Val Kilmer Sorry About Bashing New Mexico

June 24th, 2010 8:15am EDT
Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer has publicly apologized to his New Mexico neighbors for critical remarks he has made about the state in past interviews.

The star accepted an offer from San Miguel County officials to explain himself and attended a commission meeting on Wednesday, where he attempted to make amends for sleights about New Mexicans, explaining he understood why locals would be upset when they "hear negative things about a place you love."

After hearing his comments, the officials granted the actor permission to rent out guest houses on his estate near Santa Fe.

But some neighbors, led by civil ri...

Val Kilmer's Neighbors:'We're Not Intimidated By Him'

June 22nd, 2010 11:00am EDT
Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer's neighbors in New Mexico have moved to block plans to turn his home into a bed and breakfast resort - insisting the actor must apologize for a series of negative comments he allegedly made about his adopted state.

The star has applied for planning permission to transform his expansive Pecos River Ranch near Santa Fe into a guesthouse, but local residents have lodged an official complaint with authorities. The group of unhappy residents claim they won't withdraw their objections until the MacGruber star says sorry for a series of remarks he is said to have made in a 2003 interv...

June 7th, 2010 8:50am EDT
Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer will have to defend himself against charges he's a racist if he wants permission to rent out guest houses on his estate near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The actor's rural neighbors claim The Doors star has chased them away from a stretch of the Pecos River, which he owns, and they accuse the actor of racism. And their concerns have prompted local officials to shelve plans to allow Kilmer to rent out guesthouses on his ranch - until he explains himself. The actor is expected to attend a public meeting tabled by the San Miguel County Commission on June 23rd.

He tells the Albuquerque ...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Shrek Forever After,' 'MacGruber,' & More

May 17th, 2010 10:10am EDT
A lot of other critics have blasted Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood,” but honestly I found it to be pretty interesting. It is slightly long winded and its action scenes are a bit frenetic, however it dares to be different in how it approaches the Robin Hood tale which I appreciate.

As a narrative "Robin Hood" operates like a prequel, covering the events leading to Robin’s branding as an outlaw. This Robin is serious, more like a solider commanding his friends in battle, than the lighthearted rogue whose archery and skills with a sword are so well known in the legend. While he believes in eq...

Stop In The Name Of The Law: The Best Of The Buddy Cop Genre

February 25th, 2010 9:27am EST
Cop Out
Buddy cop movies involve two characters with completely different styles - usually one by the book and a wild one with no fear. They reluctantly team up to stop a crime and become friends in the process. These two characters usually can’t stand one another in the beginning, but as time passes they begin to appreciate the other’s perspective. They blend the excitement of an action movie with the wit of comedies, creating a very entertaining experience.

In honor of the latest film in this genre, this week’s “Cop Out” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, we're spotlighting some of our fa...

Can Val Kilmer Make A Comeback In Hollywood?

November 18th, 2009 11:09am EST
Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer makes a triumphant return to the big screen this week in "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans," an off-kilter project befitting Kilmer's reputation as one of Hollywood's biggest head cases.

Will this film - Kilmer's first to get a wide release since 2006's "Déjà Vu" - get the actor back on the Hollywood map or will he continue to toil away in B-movie wilderness for the rest of his career?

Remember, Kilmer may be king of the straight-to-DVD landscape now, but for a while was considered to be one of the leading men in Hollywood. Kilmer was Iceman for crying out loud! H...

Five Tremendous Quentin Tarantino Films

August 19th, 2009 11:00am EDT
Inglorious Basterds
This week we finally get to see one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer: "Inglorious Basterds." Like all Quentin Tarantino aficionados, we've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this World War II action epic since it was in development.

Tarantino's films have had a profound impact on those that have an appreciation for cinema. His use of excessive violence as a form of social commentary, his references to classic movies, and his nontraditional narrative structure has remarkably influenced modern moviemaking since he hit the scene in the early 1990s.

With the rele...
