10 Big Celebrity Baseball Fans (2014 MLB Playoffs Edition)
The 162 game grind is over and the best time of year for baseball fans is here. Soon, we'll all be staring at shots of big time celebrities in the stands at Yankee Stadium...

What's that? The Yankees didn't make the playoffs? Again? Oh, my bad. I just thought with the media talking up Derek Jeter so much that he must have won the Triple Crown and led the Yankees to the division title. Really? He batted .256? You know what, let's move on.

My snark aside, if you want to spot some big time celebrities during the 2014 MLB playoffs this October, you're still in luck even without the Big Apple ...

Michael Keaton Gets Awesomely Meta In 'Birdman' Trailer

June 13th, 2014 3:38pm EDT
Birdman
Michael Keaton, a washed-up actor who is famous for playing a superhero, will play a washed-up actor famous for playing a superhero in Birdman.

Alright, so it's not fair to call Michael Keaton "washed-up" - although it's difficult to name a great movie he's starred in from the last two decades. If Birdman lives up to its bizarre trailer, it could spark the return of a great actor (a Beetlejuice sequel would be great, too).

As previously mentioned, Keaton will play Riggan Thomson, an actor famous for playing superhero Birdman. Thomson fights to stay in the business after a not-so-graceful ...

11 Controversial Comic Book Movie Castings

Idris Elba
As a comic book nerd, nothing is worse than seeing a poor attempt at a movie adaptation of one of your beloved super heroes. So one could understand why so many casting decisions in comic book films create a controversy. Here are 11 controversial comic book movie castings:

Idris Elba - Heimdall in Thor. In what will be an occurring theme in this list, Elba's casting as Asgard Sentry Heimdall was a controversy only because of the color of this skin. Several white supremacist groups employ Norse mythology, so the perceived slight was twofold for them. In the end, the boycott attempts failed ...

Tim Burton Considering 'Beetlejuice' Sequel

October 22nd, 2013 12:07pm EDT
Tim Burton
Tim Burton, a director not known for sequels, could be making a follow-up to one of his most-celebrated films 25 years later.

Several sources report Burton is in talks to make a sequel to Beetlejuice, the film generally credited with giving him the chance to direct Batman and Batman Returns. Returns would be the only sequel in his career, although he did get a producer's credit for Batman Forever.

Seth Grahame-Smith received Burton's blessing back in 2011 to begin developing a script, but few expected the director would be interested in making the film. Michael Keaton's involvement is sti...

Comic-Con: Michael Keaton Says New 'RoboCop' Costume Is 'For Sissies'

July 21st, 2013 9:20am EDT
Michael Keaton
The cast of the upcoming new RoboCop movie came to San Diego Comic-Con to preview next year’s film for the fans, and new RoboCop Joel Kinnaman complained about his RoboCop costume. His costar in the movie, Michael Keaton, the original movie Batman, called Kinnaman out in a press conference for RoboCop.

“I’ve seen his suit,” Keaton said. “It’s air cooled. I was the pioneer of bad suits. His suit is for sissies.”

Kinnaman quit his whining after Keaton’s scolding. “Yeah, he was giving me a lot of flak,” Kinnaman said. “He was like, ‘Ah man, you got it easy. You got it easy!’”

Michael Keaton has replaced Hugh Laurie in the Robocop remake after the Brit dropped out of negotiations earlier this month.

The House star was slated to play the evil boss of Omnicorp, the company which creates Robocop, in the reboot of the hit 1987 sci-fi classic. Laurie decided to end talks with studio bosses last week and Keaton has signed on to step into his shoes.

Announcing the casting news on Wednesday, director Jose Padilha says, "Michael is the final addition to the amazing cast we have assembled for this film, and it is so great to have the last puzzle piece in place. It is t...

Blu-ray Interview: Oscar Nominee Robert Forster Jives About Jackie Brown, Being Max Cherry and Going Slow For David Lynch

Other then the obvious lure of Quentin Tarantino himself, ardent movie fans would be hard pressed to argue that the calm cool of Robert Forster’s Max Cherry isn’t the real icing on "Jackie Brown’s" lovingly layered cake. As the very thoughtful ying to Pam Grier’s cunning yang, Forster gives such a pitch perfect portrayal of a humble aging bail bondsman that he even nabbed a well-deserved Oscar nomination for his movie-stealing work. Having seen early Forster roles in films like "Reflections in a Golden Eye," "Medium Cool" and even "Alligator," movie freak Tarantino knew that the underused...

The superhero was also played by Val Kilmer and George Clooney prior to Nolan's reboot of the franchise with Christian Bale in the lead role. Bale will become Batman for a third time in The Dark Knight Rises, which is currently filming in Britain...

Michael Keaton Accuses Sequels Of Being 'Soft And Lazy'

Michael Keaton has slammed the Hollywood trend of making sequels to box office hits - insisting moviemakers can become "soft and lazy" by relying on a successful format.

The actor starred in his own blockbuster action franchise when he played Batman in the first two Tim Burton films in the early 1990s.

He has also provided the voice of Ken Doll in the upcoming third installment of the Toy Story movie series.

But Keaton is adamant that producers and directors can become complacent if they keep churning out follow-ups without good plots - taking aim at recent superhero sequel Iron Man 2, w...

The Ten Greatest Movies Of The Decade
So far, we've given you lists of the Ten Greatest TV Shows, Songs, and Albums of the decade. Now it's time to turn our focus to the Silver Screen.

This decade, moviemaking became incredibly fractured. After the Indie Boom of the nineties there suddenly wasn't much of a difference between an independent/art film and the mainstream movies from blockbuster studios. Many of these studios were now attempting to make their own indies, blurring the lines and resulting in more failures than successes.

Of course, there were still plenty of good movies to go around. The following is a list ...

An Inside Look At 'Toy Story 3' From Disney's D23 Expo

Toy Story 3
There was little question that many of D23's many participants were mainly there to see the exclusive clips John Lasseter previewed from Toy Story 3. Lasseter himself said he had been thinking about this movie since 1999, when his team was working on the second installment. In many film series, especially ones that start production years after the originals, the young actors have to be recast as they age. However, Disney has rarely seemed to subscribe to this seemingly cruel Hollywood rule (Eric Lloyd appears as a somewhat surly teenager in The Santa Clause 2 and then comes back for a cameo...

Now with the release of her new movie "Post Grad" Alexis and I have even more to bond over. I'm in the same situation as her character Ryden Malby, who is a recent college grad who failed to secure her dream job ...

You know what a good formula is? The one that creates the eleven herbs and spices of Kentucky Fried Chicken (fine, it's technically a recipe, a point's trying to be made here). It's not finger lickin' good for no reason, mind you. You know what a bad formula is? This weekend "500 Days of Summer" became my favorite movie of the season. The film's non-linear style of romantic storytelling works incredibly well. Jumping back and forth through various days in Tom and Summer's relationship is a fascinating way to get to know the couple.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Tom with an awkward charm that other lovesick fools can identify with. Much like a typical heartbroken lover, Tom finds himself bogged down remembering the positive parts of his relationship but forgetting the trials and tribulations.

While the film is not a typical love story filled w...

Comic book films have always been popular, dating back to the movie serials of the 1940s featuring Superman, Batman, and Flash Gordon, just to name a few. Christopher Reeve's "Superman" in 1978...
