November 15th, 2013 9:57am EST
Nebraska
When it comes to movies everyone knows it's all about the visuals. Yes, dialogue is important, but it's the pictures that have the most impact. This is certainly the case when it comes to the black and white film 'Nebraska,' which is brilliantly directed by Alexander Payne.

Simply put, this film is absolutely exquisite - and equally exquisite is Bruce Dern's performance. This is the best performance of his career and come Oscar time his name will certainly be on the Best Actor list.

Review: 'The Bourne Legacy' Has Its Moments But Lacks Originality

August 8th, 2012 8:37am EDT
The Bourne Legacy
So what happens when Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass decide that they no longer want to be a part of the super successful franchise known as Bourne?

Do the producers say fine and walk away from their billion dollar cash cow or find another way to keep it going? Silly question, right?

Which brings us to "The Bourne Legacy," written and directed by Tony Gilroy (writer of the previous Bourne films) and starring Jeremy Renner as the new super spy who the evil CIA wants to kill. Sound familiar? Of course it does, and that's the problem.

You've seen this same plot before...many, many...

March 29th, 2011 4:46pm EDT
Lights Out
There's a bittersweet feeling that comes with watching this week's Lights Out, the first after the announcement of the show's cancellation. There are a few fickle viewers out there, I'm sure, who've thrown in the towel on the boxing drama as a result. I'm here to tell you that to do so would be a mistake.

"Sucker Punch," the penultimate episode of the series, reads exactly like a classic finishing episode. On the eve of his championship fight with Raymond "Death Row" Reynolds, Patrick "Lights" Leary's estranged mother rolls into town, wanting to make amends for her various and sundr...
