Watch The New Red Band Trailer For 'Let's Be Cops,' Starring Dam
"Let's Be Cops" is the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they're not actually cops.

When two friends dress as police officers for a costume party, they inadvertently become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted “heroes” get tangled in a real-life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

"Let's Be Cops" opens in theaters August 13, 2014 - Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Johnson, Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia star.

Check out the official red band trailer - Please note, this trailer contains explicit mat...

“Drinking Buddies” Is An Honest Look At Relationships, Friendships, & Love

August 27th, 2013 2:51am EDT
Drinking Buddies
Fair warning, there are spoilers in this review.

This movie had me at Anna Kendrick. No seriously, “Drinking Buddies” had me there. What can I say, I’m a simple fellow. I knew I wanted to watch it just from that alone. I know that everyone gets all excited about Olivia Wilde, but I’m an Anna Kendrick fan, it stems back to “Up In the Air.” She’s just got that nerdy quality that makes her seem like anyone could just chill, have a beer with her and watch Star Wars. Speaking of beer. I like beer. Beer is good. Caveman like beer. The whole movie revolves around it, which  is probably an excu...

Taylor Swift Wins Praise From 'New Girl' Cast

May 3rd, 2013 3:41pm EDT
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has won rave reviews from New Girl's Jake Johnson after she filmed a cameo appearance on the hit TV show.

The perpetually-dating pop star took time off from her latest quixotic conquest to make a guest appearance on Zooey Deschanel's comedy series, playing a woman named Elaine in the show's season two finale.

Johnson, who plays bartender Nick Miller, was impressed by the singer's acting skills and insists she handled last minute changes to her lines with ease.

He tells EW.com, "She came in and is really nice. It's not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there, t...

Trailer Talk: Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Could Be This Summer's Next Big Blockbuster & More

June 4th, 2012 1:02pm EDT
Prometheus
Arriving in theaters this week are Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sci-fi vehicle “Prometheus,” the silly computer animated sequel “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” the coming-of-age comedy “Lola Versus,” the indie time travel comedy “Safety Not Guaranteed,” the period piece drama “Bel Ami,” the family relationship dramedy “Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding,” and Todd Solondz’s drama “Dark Horse.”

Unfortunately my pick from last week, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” was plagued by bad acting, lackluster action scenes, and farfetched concepts even for a fairy tale. Not only was it diff...

Is 'New Girl' With Zooey Deschanel Worth Watching?

September 20th, 2011 5:00pm EDT
Zooey Deschanel is the New Girl
Zooey Deschanel is the “New Girl” Jess in FOX’s most anticipated new sitcom of the fall. The show officially premieres Tuesday (tonight) at 9/8c, but the pilot has been leaked all over the internet and I got a chance to check it out. I have to say there’s a lot of promise for this show, but there are also some things to worry about.

The story follows Jess as she enters a new chapter in her life after moving out of her ex-boyfriend’s place. She finds Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) on Craig’s list and decides to move in with them.

I have to...

Five Must-See Shows Premiering This September

September 7th, 2011 10:00am EDT
ringer
1. Sept 13 - Ringer (CW, Tues 9/8c)
Reasons to get excited: Sarah Michelle Gellar (times two)

“The Ringer” is about twins. Bridget is a recovering alcoholic on the run from the mob after witnessing a murder. She takes refuge with her twin sister Siobhan, but when Siobhan goes missing and Bridget takes over her life, Bridget realizes that Siobhan’s world isn’t as picture-perfect as it seemed. It also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar (and Sarah Michelle Gellar); marking her first starring television role since “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Yeah. It’s monumental.

What intrigues me about this show i...

Brittany's TCA 2011 Blog: 'New Girl,' 'X Factor,' The Future Of 'Breaking In'

August 8th, 2011 8:00am EDT
TCA 2011
It's been seven months since the last Television Critics Association presentation - so now it's time for new buzz. I returned to the front row to catch up with the happenings at FOX and sister network FX. In this first part of my TCA blog, we meet New Girl and The X Factor, the FOX executive session sheds some light on House, Fringe and the Glee spinoff rumors, and I try not to faint.

There's always a surprise or two at these events, and mine happened right off the bat. FOX hosted a breakfast themed around its trio of Gordon Ramsay cooking shows (Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and Ma...

Review: 'Ceremony' 'Two Jews On Film' Find Nothing To Celebrate With This One (Video)

March 24th, 2011 10:22am EDT
ceremony
'Ceremony' is directed by Max Winkler. In a press interview Max said that the inspiration for the film was himself....Well they do say to write what you know...But unfortunately in this case...it's not such a good thing.

Sam David (Michael Angarano) a broke, struggling writer of children's books, convinces his former best friend, Marshall (Reece Daniel Thompson) to spend a weekend with him under the pretense of rekindling their friendship. The two guys drive off in Marshall's smoking (as in the car leaves a trail of smoke in its wake) Mercedes and head to the beaches of Long Island f...
