Neo - Deal With It
Could you picture Tom Selleck outrunning boulders and beating up Nazis as Indiana Jones? Or lovable high school truant Matthew Broderick brewing up blue meth as Walter White? Highly doubtful, since Harrison Ford and Bryan Cranston’s iconic characters are impossible to play by any other actor no matter how talented or accomplished.

Yet it's surprising to consider how many iconic movies and TV series almost were narrowly miscast with the wrong stars. Even though their careers may have suffered from turning down these blockbuster hits, these characters luckilly found their proper Hollywood vo...

Actor Thomas Jane has slammed ageism in society, insisting he's sick of having to dress like a youngster to remain relevant.

The 42-year-old actor is enjoying success in saucy U.S. hit Hung and has several movies in the works, but he is convinced it's becoming increasingly more difficult to land jobs as he ages.

And the star has slammed society's obsession with youth, insisting men of a certain age have to compromise to land good roles.

He tells the Huffington Post, "There's no socially-acceptable middle age. We have to lie about our age to get jobs, we have to dress the way we did in ...

Q&A: 'Hung' Star Stephen Amell

November 13th, 2011 11:00pm EST
Hung
It's been said that a hero is only as good as their antagonist. On HBO's Hung, that juicy role falls to actor Stephen Amell, who recently sat down with me to dish about the series.

Amell plays Jason, who is the chief competition of Hung's main character, Ray Drecker. He's got a winning smile but a lot more going on behind it. Read on to find out what's in store for his character in season three and what it's like being the allegedly bad guy, as well as what type of role Amell would love to play.

Hung fans should also check out my previous Q&A with Charlie Saxton (Damon Drecker).

Supporting Superhero: A Look At The Stand-Out Film Roles Of Jason Bateman

In the early part of his career, Jason Bateman was known as the cute sandy haired boy from the wholesome TV family. Beginning with Little House on the Prairie and taking it through "Silver Spoons" (where as the best friend he became part of the extended family) and "Valerie," he wore that role like it was his own skin. Only as he aged (like with 2001's "Some Of My Best Friends" and later with the critically acclaimed "Arrested Development") did he start to include sarcasm into his portrayals, opening up a world of possibilities for him to steal scenes in a number of feature films.

Famous June Brides: Happily Ever After?

Historically, some married in the month of June to honor Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. Others did it to time conception so births wouldn't interfere with harvest work. Brides in the 15th century chose to marry in June because it coincided with their "annual bath" - you read right - thus ensuring a relatively sweet-smelling honeymoon.

Centuries later, June has remained the most popular month to wed. In MGM's 1954 Academy Award-winning musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers the song "June Bride" trills: "Oh, they say when you marry in June, you're a bride all your life."
