'House' Recap: Painless

January 21st, 2009 5:23pm EST
House
"House" is back at a whole new time, and boy can that be a little jarring. It is difficult to juggle a full TV load for a fan, and the DVR can only record so many things at the same time. "House" is now the lead-in to the newly returned "24," which means it is on Monday's on FOX at 8 pm. For anyone who missed that, do not feel too foolish; you were certainly not the only ones. Previously on "House," Foreman and Thirteen abruptly decided they had sexual tension, Cuddy got her miracle Christmas baby, and House hasn't changed at all either way. It is good to know we can always count on him to ...

'House' Recap: 'Joy to the World'

December 11th, 2008 9:55am EST
House
What is better than seeing Gregory House verbally mock stupid people? Why, watching him try to be nice to them first! This year's Christmas episode of "House," titled 'Joy to the World,' involves House trying to be genuinely nice to his patients in order to win a bet with Wilson. There is something very surreal about House smiling and wishing people a happy holiday. Last year on Christmas, House decided to mess with his new team by having them compete with one another to give him the best gift. They were very new at that point and scrambled around to impress him. This year is a distinct cha...

The Huddy Romance Is Slowly Moving On 'House'

December 4th, 2008 9:28am EST
House
This was one of the episodes on "House" that makes a fan smile; it thrived on layered plot lines and excellent acting. It reminded everyone why this is one of the best shows on television and deserves the Emmy nods every year.

While the focus on Thirteen has been irritating lately - and continues to be somewhat in this episode "Let Them Eat Cake" - Olivia Wilde manages to play the role both subtly and compassionately. Plus, there is plenty of Huddy (House and Cuddy romance) hilarity to go around, so yay for "House" getting a good medium with its full cast.

Right off the Huddy fa...

'House' Recap: 'Emancipation'

November 20th, 2008 9:47am EST
House
This may come as a shock, but the writers of "House" are managing to find a way to incorporate both the old Ducklings and the new Numbers. It is surprising and actually entertaining to watch, but the jury is still out if this will continue. If more episodes were like this episode "Emancipation," and less centered on annoying 13, it would be as good as the earlier seasons. The patient of the week is a sixteen year old factory worker who emancipated from her parents and seems to have it all together. Naturally by the episode this is all a lie, and it is instead about how she is a complete mes...

'House': The Slightly Suggestive Friendship Between House & Wilson Is Explored

February 8th, 2008 1:27pm EST
House
After the excellent episode of "House" on Super Bowl Sunday, it was very important for the show to continue its forward momentum since this season has been criticized as slow and too convoluted. This week's episode, the last before the writers' strike cut off production, is titled "Don't Ever Change," and it succeeded beautifully. It brought the viewers back to the things we loved about "House": strange medical cases, insight into new cultures or humanity in general, and the relationships of the title character.

A Hasidic Jewish woman falls over at her wedding and becomes our Patient ...

New Season Of 'House' Lacked Exciting Cases, Involved Too Many Doctors

December 22nd, 2007 11:31am EST
House
The first episode of "House's" fourth season aired on September 25 and was named "Alone." This season gained a lot of attention and excitement due to the third season cliffhanger, which caused fans and critics to question how Dr. House was possibly going to continue without his team of underlings.

In the third season finale, "Human Error," all three members of House's team left. Chase was fired, Foreman had already put in his two weeks notice, and Cameron handed in her resignation. Fans were promised an all-new team, plus the return of its regulars, and viewers had to wonder whether "...
