Who Will Win Best Actor At The 2013 Oscars?

2/24/2013 1:30pm EST
Hugh Jackman
There's only one sure-thing at this year's Oscars -- Daniel Day-Lewis will win the Best Actor award for his performance in Lincoln.

It's hard to believe that was an actor playing Honest Abe in Steven Spielberg's biopic of the 16th President of the United States, and not Lincoln himself. Day-Lewis wasn't playing Lincoln, he was Lincoln.

Hugh Jackman's performance as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables" was nothing short of excellent either, and if these two films had been released in different years there's no doubt both stars would win this award; but unfortunately for Jackman, he'll be headi...

Oscars 2013
Hey Jennifer Lawrence, don't worry if you don't land an Academy Award for your performance in Silver Linings Playbook (you will), because all the nominees who aren't bringing home an Oscar statue this year will get a goodie-bag worth $45,000 as a consolation prize (which will only cost them about $10,000 in taxes to keep).

Gift bags containing all sorts of expensive tchotchkes are nothing new at awards ceremonies like the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys. They started out as a way for companies to get the stars photographed with their wares in exchange for free stuff, ultimately evolving into a p...

In the battle of the beards, the "Les Miserables" star has bested the "Silver Linings Playbook" stud, according to a new survey conducted by British hair transplant center, Crown Clinic in Manchester.

"Hugh Jackman looks great whatever kind of facial hair he has - stubble, a moustache or a beard," Crown Clinic surgeon and hair loss expert Dr. Asim Shahmalak told WENN.

Rounding out the top five on the list are Dav...

Hugh Jackman has had to deal with rumors that he was gay since his arrival in Hollywood, but he hasn't really discussed in depth them until now.

"Just recently, it bugs her," Jackman says of the rumors' toll on his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. The couple have two adopted children after she suffered two miscarriages. He goes on to tell Hollywood Reporter, "She goes: 'It's big. It's everywhere!'"

His X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner chimed in, "I have seen him with Deborra since the beginning of their trip to Hollywood, and I've been on five movie sets with him and have never seen him stra...

Hooper tells WENN, "I remember I was sitting at the Oscars two years ago and was in the middle of this difficult decision about whether to do Les Miserables. I was kind of close to saying the final 'Yes'. A...

12/6/2012 8:46am EST
Les Miserables
The stars came out in full force at the "Les Miserables" world premiere in London on Wedensday night. Anne Hathaway stood out on the red carpet in a backless, pearl-studded Givenchy gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves that resembled wings.

Hathaway, who chopped her hair and lost 25 pounds to portray Fantine, recently told, "I couldn't sleep. I was so starving, my body was keeping me awake at night, like it was telling me, 'Go look for food!' I was kind of in this otherworldly, slightly ecstatic manic state all the time."

Her co-star Amanda Seyfried looked lovely in a black and whi...

11/29/2012 12:07pm EST
Hugh Jackman
Bryan Singer has reportedly offered Hugh Jackman a spot in the swelling cast of his upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Earlier this week we reported that Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were signed on to play Magneto and Professor X respectively. However, the comic book storyline the film is named after centers around Wolverine and Kitty Pryde - and Singer now has half of that duo in Jackman.

Ellen Page played Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand, and there's sure to be an announcement on her involvement soon enough.

What remains to be seen is how the cast of X-Men: First Class will b...

Jackman stayed in character and PSY donned his own set of the iconic superhero's claws and they both posted photos to their twitter pages.

Hilarious Looking 'Movie 43' Trailer Features Tons Of Stars, Gerard Butler As A Leprechaun

10/3/2012 6:09pm EDT
Movie 43
If you ask us, if Movie 43 is just half as funny as the trailer, it's destined to be a classic. We have no idea what it's about, other than it's actually 25 short films helmed by several different directors including Peter Farrelly, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk, Brett Ratner and Griffin Dunne, and it features a huge, HUGE cast of A-list stars.

The film's greenband trailer (e.g.: approved-for-all-audiences) premiered during Tuesday night's episode of Tosh.0 on Comedy Central; and on Wednesday the very not-safe-for-work (NSFW) red-band trailer debuted on the network's website (according to...

New Poster For 'Les Miserables' Pays Homage To The Original Broadway Artwork

9/24/2012 10:21pm EDT
Les Miserables
The latest poster to promote director Tom Hooper's big screen adaptation of the stage production based on Victor Hugo's epic tale Les Miserables was released on Monday, and it bears a striking resemblance to the original artwork used for Broadway's longest-running musical.

The new promo brings to life the original drawing of a young girl with a sad look and windswept hair, and features newcomer Isabelle Allen as the young Cosette instead of any of the film's top-billed stars -- Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.

Set in 19th-century France, Les Mis tells the ta...

Hugh Jackman Looks Ripped In First 'The Wolverine' Image

9/24/2012 4:07pm EDT
The Wolverine
The first promotional still for The Wolverine has been released - and as you can see, Hugh Jackman looks ripped for his upcoming role.

Jackman will be playing Marvel Comics' Wolverine for the fifth time, sixth if you count his short cameo in X-Men: First Class.

The production has had some troubles, however: Indie film star Darren Aronofsky was to direct the film, but pulled out when he decided to be with his family. The film will be shot in Japan.

James Mangold will be taking the helm instead. His previous work includes Walk the Line, Knight & Day, and Identity.

The Wolverine follows t...

8/27/2012 12:10pm EDT
Kearran Giovanni
Two weeks ago, TNT premiered Major Crimes, its spinoff from The Closer and starring much of the same cast. One of the new arrivals is actress Kearran Giovanni, who recently spoke with me about joining a show within an established universe, how she sees the character of Amy Sykes, and her background working on Broadway with Hugh Jackman.

Giovanni wasn't familiar with The Closer when the opportunity to audition for Major Crimes came to her. "I had watched it a couple of times," she said. "When I was auditioning for the show I obviously sat and did a lot of homework, just getting a feel for...

Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is set to replace Hugh Jackman as the titular character in a new Van Helsing film.

Jackman took on the role of vigilante monster hunter Gabriel Van Helsing in the hit 2004 horror film but it appears Cruise will be now taking over in a "re-imagining" of the franchise.

Universal Studios bosses have signed a two-year deal with Transformers screenwriting duo Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, who will pen a new script and Cruise is already attached to star and produce.

The original film also featured Kate Beckinsale. It is not known if she will return for the new movie.
