British actor John Inman was born on June 28, 1935, in Preston, Lancashire, England. At the age of 21, he joined a touring repertory theatre company. John is most famous for his role of Mr. Humpheries on the British sitcom "Are You Being Served?" from 1972 to 1985. He replayed the same part in 1993 on "Grace& Favour." On Dec. 27, 2005, Inman entered into a civil partnership with his partner.
