Production on a film adaptation of John Milton's classical poem "Paradise Lost" has been shut down due to budget constraints.

Bradley Cooper was to lead the cast as Lucifer in the Biblical tale, but Legendary Pictures bosses have axed the film over costing concerns.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, studio bosses feared the $120 million budget would not cover the special effects technology required to bring the epic to the big screen.

Djimon Hounsou, Casey Affleck, Camilla Belle and Rufus Sewell were all set to star in director Alex Proyas' movie.

The Tourist
I was blown away by Darren Aronofsky’s intense psychological thriller “Black Swan” starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. This film, which tells the story of a ballet dancer (Portman) cast in the title role in a production of “Swan Lake,” successfully conveys the immense pressures of professional dancing, showing the dark effects that it has on the body and the psyche.

The dancers starve themselves almost to the point of emaciation so that they can preserve their place in the dance company. As the main character Nina, Portman’s body clearly shows signs of significant weight loss and ma...

In Hollywood, the dating circle seems to be so small that most celebrities share boyfriends and girlfriends and swap spit left and right. The time between significant others seems to get shorter and shorter as well. Marriage is a sacred union between a loving couple until death do them part. Yet, in the Hollywood community it seems that most marriages end before the honeymoon does. Take Eddie Murphy, for example. He and Tracey Edmonds split this past January after just two weeks of (un)happily wedded bliss.

The probability of a celebrity marriage surviving is only 35 percent, according to enotalone.com. For the most part, celebrity marriages do not have the fairy tale or "movie ending" fans hope they will. Rates of divorce may seem higher in Hollywood than they actually are due to the heavy public...

'Never Back Down' Shows Good Action But Falls Short

March 7th, 2008 11:03am EST
Never Back Down
Five years ago, the FOX network titillated us with a story of a young boy from the wrong side of the tracks who got transplanted into the lap of luxury. The challenges of shedding his old school ways revolved around gorgeous girls and finding acceptance. The show was called The O.C., and it was a resurrection of the Beverly Hills 90210, but better. The O.C. ditched 90210's early wholesome direction and went straight for the scandal, the fights, and the sex. Think of Never Back Down as the first season of The O.C. on steroids.

Jake is a temperamental high school football star who has a ...
