Dustin Hoffman, 75, recently underwent treatment for cancer and has been "surgically cured." Few details, including the type of cancer he battled, have been released.

The actor's representative, Jodi Gottlieb, issued a statement to People magazine on Tuesday: "It was detected early and he has been surgically cured. Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."

The actor, who won Oscars for "Kramer Vs. Kramer" (1979) and Rain Man (1988), is expected to follow up with doctor-recommend preventative treatments.

Dustin Hoffman is a cancer survivor. The actor's rep, Jodi Gottlieb revealed his secret battle with the disease on Tuesday, confirming in few details that the star underwent surgery recently and was cured of whichever form of it was ailing him.

Executive Producers David Milch and Michael Mann, in conjunction with television network HBO, have released a statement that they are halting all future production of horseracing drama Luck after a third horse had to be put down on Tuesday over an injury sustained on the set of the show.
