Jonah Hill has spoken out to dismiss reports he was rescued by lifeguards during a swim with Channing Tatum in Australia this week, insisting he didn't need saving from the water.

The funnyman jetted Down Under with his 21 Jump Street co-star to promote the new movie and shortly after landing they headed to Tamarama beach in Sydney.

However, their swim was interrupted when two lifeguards on surfboards ordered Hill back to shore after he swam out too far, and subsequent reports suggested he had been involved in a dramatic rescue.

Like last year, the Oscar Nominations announcement morning always proves to be an early morning. I was up at 2:15 AM to conquer the pinnacle of the awards show season, the Academy Awards. Funnyman Jonah Hill disappointed thousands of fans on Monday night after failing to show up for his planned hosting gig on wrestling show WWE Raw.

The Superbad star was expected to make an appearance on the program in order to promote his upcoming films The Sitter and 21 Jump Street, however Hill skipped the event, making a fool of TV producers who heavily publicized the actor as one of the evening's main attractions.

Ben Stiller is auctioning a walk-on role in his upcoming comedy Neighborhood Watch to raise money for charity.

The winning bidder will be invited to the Atlanta, Georgia set in December to shoot a scene alongside Stiller and his cast mates Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill.

The CharityBuzz auction is expected to pull in as much as $20,000 when it ends on Tuesday and all proceeds will benefit the Stiller Foundation, which helps provide education for underprivileged children around the world.
