'Nip/Tuck' Finale Gives Fans Closure

3/4/2010 11:24am EST
Nip/Tuck Finale
The controversial and critically acclaimed television show Nip/Tuck ran its final episode on FX Wednesday night, leaving fans feeling bittersweet about the show’s demise. Although most Nip/Tuck viewers will truly miss the series, even the die-hard fan can sense that the storylines had nowhere else to go and now was as good a time as any to send these plastic surgeons off into retirement.

As Nip/Tuck ended with its final chapter of love, lust, and vanity on Wednesday night, there weren’t any earth shattering announcements, over the top surgeries, or that typical Nip/Tuck shock value in this...

'Nip/Tuck' Performs Final Surgeries

Nip/Tuck Performs Final Surgeries
The Los Angeles doors of McNamara/Troy will be closing forever this March, as one of television's most risqué dramas ends its 100 episode run. Creator Ryan Murphy's bizarre tale of two plastic surgeons, who share not only a business, but a tumultuous brother-like relationship, has been able to shock the viewing audience over the past seven years, week in and week out.

The dynamic duo of Sean McNamara played by Dylan Walsh, and Christian Troy, played by Julian McMahon, will look for personal and professional closure as one of the most graphic and dramatic shows in television history com...

'Nip/Tuck' Season Seven Hints

5/19/2009 11:05am EDT
While Ryan Murphy was promoting the preview of his new show Glee, I slipped in some Nip/Tuck questions. The last episode left us with Christian married to Liz, but finding out his cancer scare was a clerical error, so he could have been free to manipulate and emotionally abuse superficial women this whole time.

"I will tell you, he goes through a horrifying divorce," Murphy said. "People love those characters. They're so good together so that we kind of have a whole season based on their [dynamic]. The whole season doesn't revolve around it, but it does involve, to a high degree, in th...

'Nip-Tuck' Recap: Giselle Blaylock and Legend Chandler

3/4/2009 9:42am EST
Well the finale of "Nip/Tuck" was pretty much a letdown. There was no more drama than a usual episode. I was expecting CRAZY but was left with mediocre.

Christian (Julian McMahon) and Sean (Dylan Walsh) have a vampire couple come in for a consultation after an incident where the man's bite was nearly fatal for his partner - he punctured her artery.

Teddy misses a dinner with Sean because she's leading a double life (Shocking!) as "Dixie," a Southern belle who is stringing along a plastic surgeon in another state.

Christian disinfects the false vampire teeth of his pati...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Allegra Caldarello

2/25/2009 2:09pm EST
As "Nip/Tuck" nears the end of its season, loose ends are beginning to come together as the characters are seemingly preparing for Christian's (Julian McMahon) death. But as we all know you can't have "Nip/Tuck" without Christian.

Liz's mother comes to visit to help with wedding preparations and to talk to Christian. She asks him if he's gay, still surprised that her daughter is getting married to a man, and not just any man, a man that "still has his looks."

Liz's mother brings her old wedding dress along and expects Liz (Roma Maffia) to wear it since it's been passed down ...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Budi Sabri

2/18/2009 9:46am EST
"Nip/Tuck" took an emotional turn in the latest episode, a change from the usual style of the show. A patient covered in warts (resembling tree bark) waits to heal and regain mobility after receiving multiple surgeries. Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) worked to remove all of the warts covering the patient's entire body pro bono.

Kimber (Kelly Carlson) brings Jenna into the office to have Christian plump her lips again, but he refuses. However, in the process, Kimber spills to Sean that Christian was the one who injected Jenna's lips with collagen the frist time.

'Nip/Tuck' Pushes Boundary With Self-Pleasuring, Infant Lip-Plumping Ep

2/11/2009 2:24pm EST
I hate to say it, but it's time I admit that "Nip/Tuck" is reaching over-the-top storylines. Self-fellatio? Plastic surgery on babies? Really, "Nip/Tuck" writers?

A patient visits the office of Christian (Julian McMahon) and Sean (Dylan Walsh) looking for a penis reduction because he can't stop performing self-fellatio. This boggles the minds of the doctors, but they agree to do the surgery.

Since Liz has moved to Miami after her falling out with Christian, Sean takes to finding a qualified replacement. In typical McNamara Troy fashion, Sean hires a beautiful, motorcycle-lov...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Penile Enhancement, Moving Pectoral Implants & More

2/4/2009 1:35pm EST
The latest episode of "Nip/Tuck"...Where do I begin? Crazy as usual; addicting as usual. Liz (Roma Maffia) struggles with her own insecurities as her relationship with Christian (Julian McMahon) continues. She tries to counter these feelings by having a makeover to impress Christian. When she arrives at his house, she walks in on him having sex with another woman. Liz kicks her out and wants Christian to salvage their relationship.

Sean (Dylan Walsh) encounters a bizarre patient situation - an 18-year-old boy is married to his former (and much older) teacher and wants to look closer to...

'Nip/Tuck' Episode 16: Gene Shelly

1/14/2009 10:43am EST
"Nip/Tuck" continues to bring the unexpected as Christian (Julian McMahon) and Sean (Dylan Walsh) deal with their own imperfections and insecurities in unique ways.

Christian's chemotherapy treatments are beginning to catch up to him as he spends the majority of the episode throwing up. He continues his normal surgery routine, but begins to rely heavily on Liz (Roma Maffia) for support.

Kimber (Kelly Carlson) makes an appearance in the episode when she brings her daughter, Jenna, over for Matt to baby sit as scheduled. However, she's a day early and ends up paying Wilbur's nanny ...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Stab Wounds, Memory Loss & More

1/7/2009 10:25am EST
Well, the writers of FX's "Nip/Tuck" have done it again - they've created more pure genius. Multiple stab wounds? Memory loss? Cancer? With the continuation of Season Five just beginning, I can only imagine what the writers have in store for us for the remaining episodes.

The episode began by recapping the stabbing of Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) by his crazed former talent agent Colleen Rose (Sharon Gless). One can only begin to wonder how Sean managed to survive the multiple stab wounds, not to mention the extreme blood loss portrayed … but I guess this is why it's TV!

Small-Screen Stars Make Their Mark On The Big Screen

2/8/2008 10:01am EST
Made of Honor
TV actors often try to parlay their small-screen fame into big-screen success. Some, like George Clooney, hit the jackpot. Others falter in the transition, but you can't fault them for trying. Here's a sampling of where in the cinema you can currently find some of TV's stars and rental picks for the Netflix-addicted.

Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy) - In a departure from his more dramatic roles on TV in "Grey's Anatomy" and a guest stint on Once and Again, Dempsey has focused on romantic comedies in his film career recently. He's been charming audiences alongside Amy Adams in Enchanted...
