Actor John Hensley was born on August 29, 1977, in Louisville, KY. He is a graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and before becoming an actor he worked on a horse ranch in Wyoming. His television credits include "Witchblade," "Strangers With Candy," and "Madigan Men," but he is most known for his role as Matt McNamara on the FX series "Nip/Tuck." John has also appeared in the films "Fifty Pills," "Peoples" and "Campfire Stories." His hobbies include playing the guitar and singing, collecting jackets and riding horses. John also plays on the world poker tour in the Hollywood Home games for the Beacon House charity.
If actor John Hensley hadn't found such unexpected success in acting, he would have gladly become a horse wrangler, but lucky for him, during a week-long trip to New York following his high-school graduation, he met his future manager and the rest, as they say, is history. He was cast on the series Nip/Tuck as troubled teen Matt McNamara almost immediately, staying with the show for two seasons before moving on to roles in Fifty Pills and Teeth.
