The actor played ruthless oil tycoon J.R. Ewing in all 13 seasons of the TV phenomenon but recently admitted he wasn't sure if he wanted to return for the new update.

He said, "I don't know if it's worth it. I'm thinking about it. I'd like to know who's doing it, who's writing it and who's in the show. I don't want to work every day and I'd like not to have to promote it. So, we'll see."

But bosses at TNT network have persuaded the veteran actor to make an appearance - producers have conf...

'Dallas' Movie Failed, So It'll Return To TV Instead

Beloved soap "Dallas" is to be updated for the small screen after efforts to turn the project into a major movie failed.

John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez were both attached to the film project, but now the entire idea has been scrapped - and instead, "Dallas" will be heading back to TV.

Larry Hagman
TV's most famous oil baron Larry Hagman is snubbing black gold in favor of a "cheaper and cleaner" energy source - he's promoting the virtues of investing in solar panels.

The Dallas star, who played ruthless tycoon J.R. Ewing in the hit show, is fronting a new campaign for German power company SolarWorld. Filmed at his eco-friendly home in Santa Barbara, California, Hagman walks away from a portrait of himself as Ewing and into his garden to show off his impressive solar panels - which he famously fitted in 2003, making him the owner of America's largest residential sun-powered system.

Leave Them Hanging: Favorite TV Cliffhangers

April 2nd, 2008 2:00pm EDT
Lost
Television is a medium that thrives on manipulating audiences into tuning in, and no narrative device is more effective at accomplishing that task than the cliffhanger. With the end of the 2007-08 season rapidly approaching and new cliffhangers waiting in the wings, we have decided to celebrate our favorites from years past.

5) The Simpsons: "Who Shot Mr. Burns?"

The Cliffhanger: It didn't provoke quite the fervor of the "Dallas" storyline that it parodied, but this two-part episode did warrant a special "America's Most Wanted" and was discussed often during the summer of 19...
